2017 is bringing with it a whole range of films that we literally can’t wait to see, and we’ve decided to pay homage to some of the beautiful people who help to make it happen. We’ve featured the blondes, and now it’s time to pay the brunettes some special attention. Here are the 20 hottest brunette actresses in Hollywood 2017:

1 – Alexandra Daddario

Have you ever seen San Andreas with Dwayne Johnson, otherwise known as “The Rock”? Well Alexandra Daddario plays his daughter in that movie, and she’s fast becoming one of the hottest brunette actresses in Hollywood 2017. You will also have spotted her in a few other movies, Hall Pass, for example, and also Texas Chainsaw 3D. There have been more than a few TV appearances along the way too, including American Horror Story: Hotel.

2017 is going to be a great year for Alexandra Daddario – she’s starring in four movies, one of which is the eagerly awaited, Baywatch, featuring Dwayne Johnson once again. And Zac Efron. We’re super excited about seeing Zac Efron.

2 – Olga Kurylenko

Olga’s career started at the young age of 13, where she was picked up by a modeling agency in Moscow. It was just three years later that she would follow her dreams to Paris, with the intention of becoming a model, and after having a few parts in a some smaller TV shows and TV movies, she was picked up to star in the 2007 game-to-movie adaptation of Hitman.

From there, her career boomed and Max Payne followed in 2008, with Quantum of Solace in the same year. There is one movie coming out in 2017 starring Olga Kurylenko, and also another in 2018, but the first one to keep your eyes peeled for is The Death of Stalin. Also starring Steve Buscemi, Timothy Dalton and Michael Palin, the movie is based on what happened after the 1953 death of Joseph Stalin.

3 – Natalie Portman

Born on June 9th, 1981, 35 year old Neta-Lee Hershlag (as she was born) is one of the most famous brunette names in Hollywood. She’s both American and Israeli, and has come a very long way from her debut movie in 2004, Léon: The Professional. The Star Wars movies made her a household name, playing the part of Padmé Amidala, before going on to appear in hits such as V for Vendetta, New York, I Love You, Black Swan, and No Strings Attached. 2017 will see her returning to Hollywood for two more movies – The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, and Annihilation.

4 – Kristen Stewart

We’re classing her as a brunette because that’s what we know and love her as, but very recently Kristen Stewart opted for the chop, not just shaving her head, but dyeing it a bright blonde color also! We love a babe who’s not afraid to liven things up, and we think it suits her splendidly! Twilight star, Kristen, has branched out into directing movies for 2017, as well as appearing in front of the camera, but you can see her in the soon-to-be-released Lizzie, also starring Chloë Sevigny, based on the true biological story of accused and then acquitted murderer, Lizzie Borden.

5 – Zoe Saldana

Not just an actress but a dancer too, 38 year old Zoe Saldana, born in New Jersey on 19th June, 1978, made her debut in TV rather than movies, in a 1999 episode of Law & Order. It wasn’t until a year later that appeared on the big screen, and things have gotten pretty good for the brunette actress since then. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl saw her playing the part of Anamaria in 2003, and The Terminal followed in 2004. In 2009, there was Star Trek, and Avatar in the same year also.

2017 also promises to be a great year for Zoe Saldana, with two movies coming out, and two more in 2018 also. This year you can enjoy her in movies such as My Little Pony: The Movie, and also Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

6 – Jessica Biel

She’s been relatively quiet over the last couple of years, but Jessica Biel is back in 2017 and beyond with new movies, one of which she’s currently filming. Show and Awe is a drama movie, also starring Woody Harrelson, Milla Jovovich, and James Marsden, following the journalists involved with the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and some of the processes that happened in the run up to that. Of course, some of you will better remember Jessica Biel from some of her past movies – The Tall Man in 2012, for example, or Valentine’s Day in 2010.

7 – Ellen Page

30 year old Ellen Page was originally born in Nova Scotia, Canada, and actually started with a hilarious Canadian TV show – Trailer Park Boys. In 2005, she appeared in the movie Hard Candy, which won over critics, and then bagged the role of Juno MacGuff in the 2007 hit, Juno. She earned herself a number of award nominations for Juno also, including a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. 2017 is set to be a great year for the Hollywood brunette, and she is starring in four released movies – The Third Wave, Mercy, Flatliners, and Robodog. Flatliners will also star Nina Dobrev and Diego Luna, and obviously we’re super excited about it.

8 – Olivia Wilde

33 year old Olivia Wilde has done a lot in her life, and as well as being one of the hottest brunette actress in Hollywood, has also become a director, an activist, a producer, a model, and an entrepreneur too. You could say that she has kept herself busy, and that’s alongside a budding movie career that has seen her starring in hits such as Cowboys & Aliens, Tron: Legacy and Alpha Dog. Olivia Wilde seems to have kept herself busy with filming throughout 2017, and there are no movies being released. There are, however, two films due out in 2018 which you might enjoy – Life Itself, also starring Antonio Banderas, and A Vigilante.

9 – Mila Kunis

33 year old Mila Kunis has been quiet recently, but that’s because she has just welcomed her second child into the world – a son, with husband Ashton Kutcher. She’s come a long way since she first started in the show business world, getting her first part in a Barbie commercial when she was just nine years old. It wasn’t until 2001 that she made her movie debut, starring alongside fellow Hollywood actress, Kirsten Dunst, in Get Over It.

American Psycho 2 soon followed, and then came hits such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Book of Eli, Black Swan, Friends with Benefits, Jupiter Ascending, and Bad Moms. She’ll be filming throughout 2017, and taking care of her new baby, of course, but she’ll be back in 2018 with Amusement Park, also starring Matthew Broderick and Jennifer Garner.

10 – Megan Fox

30 year old Megan Fox is not just an actress, but a model also, and has regularly appeared in various male-themed magazines, topping “hottest women” polls all across the globe. Her acting career actually started in 2001, and it was all about relatively small TV appearances and TV-feature movies, and it was the 2007 movie, Transformers, that came the movie that made her a really big name. A couple of years later, she donned the role again for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and she then branched out into thriller / horror movies, with the 2009 film, Jennifer’s Body.

2017 will see the release of Zeroville, a drama-comedy movie that was based on a book of the same name. James Franco will appear alongside Megan Fox in the film, as well Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, and Dave Franco too. You know this one will be a really good watch!

11 – Angelina Jolie

She hasn’t had an easy ride of things of late, with *those* Brad Pitt divorce / child custody rumors, but we’re going to ignore all of that for now and focus on her career. This stunning Hollywood brunette is well known for the parts in her past, Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, for example, alongside more recent delights such as Salt, The Tourist alongside Johnny Depp, Kung Fu Panda and the subsequent sequel, and also the utterly brilliant Maleficent, in which she plays the Disney villain herself. Her family dramas don’t appear to have hindered her schedule too much recently. Alongside her regular humanitarian and charity work, she’s been filming, and The Breadwinner is due to be released this year.

What will you remember Gal Gadot from? The Fast and the Furious movies, of course, and then there was that oh so fabulous part of Wonder Woman. It was in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that we first saw her kicking ass as Princess Diana, also known as Wonder Woman, and she’s going to returning TWICE in 2017, which we are SUPER excited about. You just can’t talk about the hottest brunette actresses in Hollywood 2017 without having a special mention for Penélope Cruz. She’s ALWAYS going to be one of the hottest brunette actresses in Hollywood, and she’s one of those women who just gets better with age. She actually started out in the world of TV, after being signed by an agency at just 15 years of age, and her first work that was met by critical acclaim was a TV feature movie, Jamón, jamón, released in 2002.

Her breakthrough performance, and the award nominations say so, was Blow in 2001, also starring Johnny Depp and Ray Liotta. Vanilla Sky soon followed in the same year, also starring Tom Cruise, and it wasn’t long before she was considered to be one of the hottest Latina actresses in the business. After Gothika, Sahara, Volver and Zoolander 2, you could say she’s done pretty well for herself. Oh, and there are two movies due out in 2017, one of which is Murder on the Orient Express. It’ll star Cruz alongside Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, and Derek Jacobi.

Throughout her earlier acting years, English actress, Kate Beckinsale, was best known for her period movies, first starring in the 1993 movie, Much Ado About Nothing. During the nineties she made a breakthrough into US movies, and it was Pearl Harbor that many of us most remember her for. It was quite the tear-jerker! Moving from period and costume British movies to action films seems to have been the greatest movie that Kate made in her career, and the now 43 year old actress is definitely well-loved as Selene in the film series of Underworld. That was her most recent movie release in 2016 – Underworld: Blood Wars, and 2017 will see the release of The Only Living Boy in New York.

Another British born actress, Emily Blunt, born Emily Olivia Leah Blunt, has gone to become a critically acclaimed star in her own right, with a Golden Globe under her belt for her part in the 2006 movie, Gideon’s Daughter. She’s starred in a host of brilliant movies along the way, of course, The Devil Wears Prada, for example, in 2006, Charlie Wilson’s War in 2007, the voice of Juliet in 2011’s Gnomeo & Juliet, and also the 2016 hit, The Girl on the Train.

We’re going back to Britain again, and this time we’re focusing on Pirates of the Caribbean actress, Keira Knightley. Born in London, England on March 26th, 1985, she may only be 31 years old but she sure has achieved a whole bunch. The 2006 movie, Pride & Prejudice, bagged her a host of prestigious award nominations, and the same can be said for a number of her following films. We first started paying attention to Jennifer Garner in the 2000 classic, Dude, Where’s My Car? She then went on to have a brief part in the classic tear-jerker, Pearl Harbor, and for five years (2001-2006), she appeared on the TV series, Alias, and even bagged herself a few awards for her part on the show … including a Golden Globe! Recent reports have suggested that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck could be getting back together after a reported split, and if that wasn’t good news enough, there are a few movies coming out for 2017 also. We’re excited to see Jennifer Garner in Wakefield, a drama movie also reported to star Breaking Bad’s, Bryan Cranston.

34 year old Gina Carano is perhaps better known for her history in mixed martial arts (MMA), but she’s gone on to become so much more than that. Also a fitness model, TV personality, and actress, you may recall spotting Gina as Angel Dust in the 2016 movie, Deadpool. If you liked what you saw and fancy seeing some more of what this fabulous brunette Hollywood actress has to offer, two movies are coming out in 2017 – Kickboxer: Retaliation, and also Scorched Earth.

19 – Lena Headey

You’d never believe that Lena Headey was 43 years old, but she is – born October 3rd, 1973. She was born in Bermuda, but is now an English actress, living in London. She was known throughout the nineties for the smaller parts she played in various movies, but it was in the 2000’s that she rose to fame, particularly after 2005s, The Brothers Grimm. 300 soon followed in 2007, and also The Purge in 2013. 2017 promises to be a good year for Lena too, with the release of one movie called Thumper.

20 – Minka Kelly

36 year old American actress, Minka Kelly is better known for TV shows than movies, particularly Friday Night Lights in 2006. You may remember that she appeared in the 2009 hit, 500 Days of Summer, and she was also on 2011s The Roommate, and she’s back with a vengeance for 2017, currently filming alongside Henry Cavill in Nomis. This is a psychological thriller that will also star Stanley Tucci and Ben Kingsley, and we’re pretty excited about it!
