1. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Angelina Jolie Half-up Hairdo With Side Bangs

Hairstyle for big foreheads_01

American movie star and filmmaker Angelina Jolie looks gorgeous with her sexy half-up hairdo and sweeping side bangs. She sports a trendy bouffant, and slightly messy bangs that conceal half of her forehead. Bangs are your best friend if you have a big forehead, as they draw attention away from your hairline and redirect the gaze down to your eyes and lips. Half-up hairdos are also great as they combine the best of both worlds – the glamour of the up’do and the carefree spirit of loose locks.

2. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Katherine Heigl Cute Curls

Hairstyle for big foreheads_02

American actress and film producer Katherine Heigl looks superb with her cute golden curls framing her face. Her long bob hairstyle is perfect for her big forehead, as the curls slightly cover her forehead and they also draw attention away from her hairline. To get Katherine’s glamorous curls, wrap large sections of hair around a large-barreled curling iron on low heat. Once you’ve created big, bouncy curls, use a light hairspray to keep them in place.

3Hairstyle for big foreheads: Rihanna Fenty Sexy Bob With Side Fringe

Hairstyle for big foreheads_03

Singer and songwriter Rihanna Fenty rocks a sexy bob with a huge, sweeping side-fringe. We love her edgy undercut and the contrasting long, sleek fringe that hides her forehead. If you’re looking for a short hairstyle that will suit your big forehead, then this is a great option. Maintenance is medium effort – you’ll need to keep the sides short and straighten the fringe every morning to keep it smooth and sleek. Invest in an anti-frizz serum to fight frizz, and some hair spray for extra styling power.

4. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Nicole Kidman Side Plait

Hairstyle for big foreheads_04

Australian actress, singer and film producer Nicole Kidman looks divine with her side plait and a wispy side fringe. A side plait is great for drawing attention away from your forehead, as it draws the eye downwards. Part your hair to one side and style your side fringe over one eye for a super sexy and mysterious look. For extra texture, use a texturizing spray (e.g., a sea salt water spray) on your locks before styling.

5. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Rachel McAdams Up’do With Wispy Bangs

Hairstyle for big foreheads_05

Canadian actress Rachel McAdams looks gorgeous with her simple up’do and soft, wispy bangs. We love how her bangs have been tapered and rounded so that they are longer at the sides, framing her face perfectly. Wispy bangs cover your forehead whilst still looking light and soft, instead of thick and bulky bangs that can look too harsh. For an extra-romantic finishing touch, embrace your hair’s natural texture and let the flyaway hairs frame your face.

6. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Yvonne Strahovski Curly Bob

Hairstyle for big foreheads_06

Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski looks fabulous with her sexy, curly bob and a small side fringe. The side fringe and the curls work to conceal her big forehead, while her trendy below-the-chin length bob reflects her flirty personality and modern style. Use a hair straightener to create smooth waves, and a curling iron for pretty curls. Finish up with a light hairspray to keep your hairstyle in place.

7. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Jena Malone Sleek Bob

Hairstyle for big foreheads_07

American actress and musician Jena Malone looks striking with her sleek bob and bold, sultry eye makeup. Once again, the side fringe is key to concealing a big forehead, and it’s effortlessly stylish too. You can opt for a sleek and sexy side fringe like Jena’s, a wispy and textured side fringe, or a piecey side fringe that covers more of your forehead. Ask your hair stylist which style would suit you best, taking into consideration your personal preferences and your face shape.

8. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Allison Williams Soft Waves

Hairstyle for big foreheads_08

Girls star Allison Williams (aka Marnie Michaels) looks fantastic with her long, soft waves of hair and a rich chocolate brown hair color. If you have a big forehead and long hair like Allison’s, try a side-swept parting that sends your long locks cascading down your face, partially concealing your forehead. Add a few layers towards the ends of your hair for extra definition, and some pretty earrings to further draw attention away from your forehead.

9. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Leighton Meester Mid-length Waves

Hairstyle for big foreheads_09

Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester looks radiantly beautiful with her mid-length waves of golden-brown hair. Her glossy, bouncy waves direct attention away from her big forehead, and we love the stylish medium length of her warm, light brunette locks. Take inspiration from Leighton and opt for an ombre fade hair color, from medium brunette roots to warm and romantic golden brown tips.

10. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Christina Hendricks Bold Layers

Hairstyle for big foreheads_10

Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks looks superb with her dark auburn locks in bold layers. Her middle parting allows hair to partially conceal her big forehead, while the bold layers at cheek level direct the gaze downwards. For extra impact, opt for only one or two layers in your hair so that the layers are clearly visible. Finish off with some anti-frizz spray to keep your hair sleek, smooth, and shiny.

    Hi,
I have a round face, a medium forehead and curly wavy hair. I was thinking of getting pixie haircut. I wear glasses too. I don’t want long hair. Do you have any suggestions?

Your forehead and hair type should be fine–you just should not expect for your hair to be straight or exactly in a pixie style unless you use product. As for the face type, a round face could be good for it. I think that the cheekbones and eyes are more important for a pixie cut. If you have high cheekbones and gorgeous eyes, then the cut will work. Fortunately, you can always use makeup to make your eyes look larger (if you use makeup, that is). What type of style do you have now? Be warned about the pixie cut–once you decide to have longer hair, it will take forever to grow out and it has an extremely awkward in-between stage as it grows out. I had a pixie cut (and I have a rounder face), and I absolutely loved it. What I did not love was the fact that it took me several years to get my hair back to a good length. For several months, my hair was stuck in a length that was too long to be a pixie cut and too short to be a bob. As long as you are okay with that in-between stage, then go for it!

Hi i really need help i have a big forehead and nose and a oval face, what hair style would die my nose and forehead down?

Side swept bangs and horizontal volume. If you pile your hair on top of your head or do vertical volume, it will make your nose look longer and your forehead seem larger. Generally, you will want to try to get your hairstyles to go out instead of up. Also, you can check out some of the styles in the article and the comments from readers to find out what worked best for them. Good luck, Madison!

My favorite bangs are the side-swept variety. They are not quite as popular now, but they are the most convenient (at least for me) to wear. If you are not sure which one to get, perhaps you could try a hair styling software program. There are some programs that let you put your picture into the program and then select different hairstyles. That way, you can see how the hair cut will look before you actually do it. Good luck, Himani!

I’ve got thick, frizzy hair that’s a bit longerthan shoulder length and I’m desperately trying to find a hair style that will keep my hair out of my face but not emphasise my huge forehead, and thick hair any ideas? X

Cut your hair into some bangs! The bangs can be swept across your forehead to de-empasize it. You will, however, need to straighten them and use product to keep the bangs from being frizzy. Other than bangs, you should focus on making your hairstyle go out instead of up. If you have to much volume vertically, it will make your forehead and face seem even longer. Instead, you want the volume to go outwards horizontally to draw out the lines of your face.

I hve a big forehead and round face..also frizzy wavy thin hair..i personally like bangs but not sure about that on myself..want new haircut that could help me..will bangs be a good idea with curly hair?? the bangs will also get curl??

    • web admin

      June 29, 2015 at 7:52 pm

The bangs will certainly want to curl, but you can straighten them and use product to stop that. Likewise, straight, long hair will help to de-emphasize your round face. Unfortunately, both of these looks will require you to use a hair straightener every day. If you are up to the daily hair straightening, then it will be a great hairstyle for your face and forehead shape.

To counteract the length of your face, I would go with a style or cut that has more volume. Curls, a perm or layers could help to draw out your face width wise so that it appears more balanced. As for your forehead, side swept bangs or bangs in general should help to minimize the size of your forehead. Make sure to avoid hairstyles that have volume on the top of your head because it will make your forehead and face length appear to be even larger. Good luck, Daelin!

For frizzy hair, the trick is really to find the right product that helps you tame your hair–and not living anywhere humid! For a round face, you want less volume because it will cause your face to look larger. Perhaps some side bangs to break up your face and a longer hair cut? You could try a decent mousse so that your hair looks more like a surfer girl/cute waviness than super frizzy.

    • web admin

      May 25, 2015 at 4:48 pm

Personally, I like to have any type of side-swept bangs. Bangs do a really good job of minimizing an overly large forehead. Curls could also work because they will help to emphasize a wider, instead of longer, face. What type of hairstyle do you normally use, Prerna? Which one on the list was your favorite?

I think the bangs would still help to de-emphasize your forehead and the roundness of your face. If you are still uncertain, there are several programs online that you can use. Basically, you just have to use a photo of just your face looking at a camera. Once you have done this, you can switch up different hairstyles or hair colors in the program. It is a great way to see how a hairstyle will look on you without actually having to cut it yet.

I have a round face (the full works starring; chubby cheeks), and a very large forehead. I was wording what the best possible hair cut that would work. I was thinking textured side swept bangs, but I was hoping you might have another suggestion!

      May 12, 2015 at 2:25 pm

The hairstyle of Yvonne would probably work pretty well–if you have the time to curl your hair everyday. I think that side swept bangs are probably the best because they will de-emphasize the size of your forehead. You can also go through this list and look for photographs of ladies with rounder faces to see which hair cut will work for you.

I have a long face with a V chin and a big, long forehead.I have thin hair at the top of my head but thick in the middle so it’s really flat on top and voluminous in the middle… I’ve kept the same hair style for years now, a side fringe, but when it grows out I push it to the side and it’s really flat. What should I do? This has been a problem for me for a while now.

      May 7, 2015 at 7:46 pm

If you do a Google images search for side fringe, you will come up with a number of different ways to wear your hair. What you need to do is search through these different images until you find one that has a face shape that is very similar to your own. There are also several different computer programs that will allow you to switch out hairstyles on your picture so that you can see what each cut will look like on you. Good luck!

    • web admin

      May 1, 2015 at 2:45 pm

I am still personally a favorite of side-swept bangs. If your face shape works with it, a messy bob or a pixie cut are great ways to hide the fact that your hair is so thin. Longer hair styles always seem to emphasize the thinness instead of hiding it. What hairstyles have you been considering?

If you try having curlier, afro-style hair, it would help to make your face look fuller. Like I told Ruweyda, side-swept bangs are a great way to minimize a larger forehead. Since you have a long face, you should make sure that any style you choose has very low volume on the top of your head. If your hair is piled up on the top of your head, it will just make your face look longer. You want a hairstyle that makes your face more balanced.

So i have quite a large forehead almond shaped eyes (probably my only nice feature), a small nose and small full lips. Oh, and an oval face how do you suggest i wear my hair. Btw i am black so my hair is curly bushy.

      April 30, 2015 at 6:22 pm

To start with, I would check out some of the hairstyles on this list:
      http://www.herinterest.com/top-100-hairstyles-2014-for-black-women/

Personally, I feel like side-swept bangs do a lot to help minimize a large forehead. For a shorter look, Halle Berry’s pixie (Number 15) would be adorable. All you would need to do is brush more of the bangs across your face. For longer hair, Kerry Washington’s cut (number 28) would work, but you would definitely have to use product. For an easier, daily style, Nicole Beharie’s micro-braids and curl style would be perfect. (Number 30) You would be able to just sweep your braids back, and the curls would hide some of your forehead–plus, the curls add a very ethereal, pretty touch.

Oh, I am sorry, Preety. You know what could help you out a bit? Have you ever seen the software programs that let you modify how your hair looks? They have software programs that let you put in your picture and then mix it with a variety of different hair cuts or colors. If you can find a software program like that, you could test out hundreds of hairstyles without having to take the risk of actually cutting your hair.

    • web admin

      April 22, 2015 at 3:33 pm

Oh, dear! Well, it looks like most of the pictures on this list have bangs. Perhaps you could try straightening your hair so that it falls across your forehead like number seven. You could tuck the ends behind your ear and make the front cover your face like side-swept bangs. On the bright side, not having bangs means that you do not have to wait for the bangs to grow out! :)
