Flirting can be oh-so-difficult. You don’t know what to say, you don’t want to look dumb, but you definitely want to get the point across that you’re interested. So what’s a girl to do? Check out these 25 super easy ways to flirt with a guy- ways that will ACTUALLY work.
1. Make Eye Contact Often
Eye contact is key in almost all social settings, especially when it comes to flirting. You can either do a bit of playful eye contact: you look at him and the second he looks at you, you giggle and turn away quickly. Or you can hold eye contact with him, smile, and maybe even wink when he notices you are staring. However, once the two of you start actually conversing, try to hold eye contact as often as possible to let him know you’re interested in him and the things he has to say.
2. Smile a Lot
Men love it when a woman smiles, especially when it’s in his direction. Whenever you two make eye contact, make sure to flash him a smile. While the two of you are having a conversation, try to smile as much as possible. I mean, don’t be creepy about it and have your teeth clinched together the entire afternoon. But smile often, especially when he’s looking your way or talking to you about positive things.
3. Play With Your Hair
For most women, playing with your hair while talking to the guy you like is almost a natural reaction. It’s as natural as laughing at a joke or making a sour face after tasting a lemon. And for some reason, men love it. They think it’s totally cute, maybe even seductive in a way. So the next time you’re having a convo with this special guy, play with your hair a little but more (if you’re not already doing so). No, you shouldn’t only use positive body language during a job interview. Positive body language not only makes someone feel comfortable, warm and welcomed, but also lets them know you’re interested in the conversation. There’s a few ways to have positive body language:
-As stated above, hold eye contact and smile often.
-Lean in towards the person, never away.
-Try to refrain from crossing your arms. This could be a signal of being bored and uninterested.
-Interact in the conversation using hand gestures and responding to questions and comments.
5. Giggle a Lot
Just like every man loves to see a beautiful woman smiling, they also love to hear her laugh. So even if his jokes or comments are totally stupid and barely funny at all, still give him a little giggle and watch him melt. As an added bonus, you’ll give him a generous boost in confidence that will make him want to keep telling you silly jokes that make you laugh and smile.
6. Pay Them a Compliment
This is the easiest and best way to flirt- and you should be doing it often. Men and women both love compliments and nothing says “I like you” like a compliment. Simply saying something like, “Wow, I love that shirt on you” or “Wow, you are so good at basketball” is enough to make him smile and get him going. 7. Playfully Tease Them

You know those times when you’re talking to a friend, not paying attention, and you “accidentally” run into that super sexy guy you are into? Yeah, total accident, right? Now the two of you are saying your sorries and striking up a conversation with each other. And yeah, this all happened completely by accident. (I’m not buying it. But feel free to do this! This is probably common knowledge, but I’m going to go ahead and say it anyways: a boring conversation leads to a bored man, which leads to a man wanting someone else. Don’t be the boring girl he hates talking to because you never have anything fun to say. Whether you’re talking in person, text messaging, or chatting on the phone, keep the conversation going and DON’T be boring. If the convo starts to turn dull, break off the conversation and strike it up against at another time when you have something interesting to talk about. 12. Be Mysterious
Men love a little mystery, and here’s where we should take the “always keep him wanting more” advice our mother’s gave us and put it into action. Let him wonder where you’re at or what you’re doing. Keep him guessing about the type of girl you are. I don’t mean play games with him, but when he asks you out for Friday night tell him you’ll be busy but you’re free Saturday. Take a little extra time to respond to his text message to keep him wondering what you’re doing. This is surprisingly a huge turn on for men!
13. Text Him
In this day and age, it’s all about texting. People text at lightning fast speeds literally all day long, whether they’re at work, school, or just relaxing in front of the television. Use text messages to your advantage and flirt with him over texts. Remember: don’t be boring, be flirty and suggestive. Don’t succumb to the same old “What’s up” and “How are you?”. Dive a little deeper. You could even “accidentally” text him something like “Oh my gosh, Gia. Did you see Michael today? He looks like he’s been working out.”

Text messages, being as handy as they are, are quickly becoming the sole means of communication for the majority of the world. So if you’re calling him, there must be a pretty darn good reason: you like him. 15. Look Attractive
THis is a no brainer, right? But I simply had to list it. Men fall in love with what they SEE. They are VERY visual creatures. So wearing those oversized sweat pants and looking like you just woke up probably won’t grab his attention. I’m not saying you need to wear booty shorts and a crop top that shows EVERYTHING to get him to notice you, but some nice form fitting clothes that look especially hot on you will do the trick. Try wearing some jewelry and just enough makeup to accent your natural beauty (try to stay away from the “caked on” look- men hate that).
16. Ask Him Questions
When you ask someone questions, you’re letting them know that you are interested in them and want to get to know more about them. So ask him questions. Really, any question will do: what’s your favorite ice cream flavor? How long was your last relationship? How did you get your hair to look that awesome? The point is to keep the conversation going by pursuing him and finding more about him.
17. Send Him Pictures
So the two of you are getting a little suggestive over text messages. He says you look absolutely amazing in red and you just so happen to have a skimpy tight red minidress that you haven’t found the right occasion to wear it just yet. Maybe you could slip that sexy number on and send it to him, saying something like, “How about this red minidress?” His jaw will drop to the floor and he’ll be mesmerized- and you didn’t even have to take any of your clothes off. 19. Find Common Interests
The more you have in common with someone, the easier it is to flirt and even start a relationship. So let me give you an example of what I mean by ‘finding common interests’. Let’s say the two of you are at a bar and there’s a basketball game on TV. You could simply walk up, sit right next to him, and start watching the game. Next you could ask him if he’s a basketball fan and what his favorite team is. From there, the two of you are laughing having fun and maybe even exchanging phone numbers. How easy was that?
20. Comment on What He is Doing
This kind of goes hand in hand with tip number 19, but it’s a bit difference. I’ll use the same example: the two of you are at a bar and that hot guy across the room has just ordered the biggest, bluest drink you have ever seen. You simply HAVE to know what it is-right? Walk over to him and start asking him about what he bought, what kind of flavor does it have, and if he thinks you should try one. He might ask you to sit down and enjoy one with you!
21. Use Social Media
In this day and age, social media is used for everything: keeping in touch with friends, posting new food recipes, finding employers- the list goes on and on. So why not use this tool to flirt? Aside from simply talking to the guy over messages, you could also update your status having something to do with him. Maybe the two of you just got done talking on the phone. Try updating your status to something like, “Wow. Just got on the phone. I swear I could talk to him all night long”. Finish it with a smiley face and a heart for an added bit of flirtiness.
22. Drop Hints You’re Interested
He can’t magically know that you are interested with him, so you should be dropping hints left and right if that’s what you’re after. Well, let’s just say you “accidentally” had this conversation with your best friend right next to him, and you “accidentally” said it a little bit louder than normal so he could hear it. Don’t make it obvious you wanted him to hear- but you should do it so subtle that he CAN hear it and gets the message. Yeah, it’s a little silly but it totally works.
24. Show Off in Front of Him
What better way to get someones attention or flirt with them than by impressing them? Now, there’s a few different ways to do this. You could do something G rated like showing him how good you are at making a three-pointer in basketball or winning in Mario Kart, or you can take the R rated option and “drop your pencil” in front of him, in which case you will bend over slowly so he can check you out (and then you look behind you to smile and wink at him).
25. Ask Him Out
When all else fails and you’re tired of dropping hints and flirting but he still hasn’t asked you out, then you need to make the first move. After all, he may be super shy or nervous and doesn’t know how you feel. Plus it is a HUGE turn on to men when the woman makes the first move.
