the boy is called Scott and is not good at sports and he has asthma.
but then he becomes a werewolf and is good at sport and his asthma goes.
so it is practically about him and his mate stiles and this girl Alison whose dad is a werewolf hunter. and stiles is obsessed with this girl Lydia and then there is Jackson who Lydia is with in season 1.
so it is really about all the problems of being a werewolf and the problems that follow him.

it might of all changed now but i am only on season three.
