1. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Angelina Jolie Half-up Hairdo With Side Bangs
American movie star and filmmaker Angelina Jolie looks gorgeous with her sexy half-up hairdo and sweeping side bangs. She sports a trendy bouffant, and slightly messy bangs that conceal half of her forehead. Bangs are your best friend if you have a big forehead, as they draw attention away from your hairline and redirect the gaze down to your eyes and lips. Half-up hairdos are also great as they combine the best of both worlds – the glamour of the up’do and the carefree spirit of loose locks.
2. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Katherine Heigl Cute Curls
American actress and film producer Katherine Heigl looks superb with her cute golden curls framing her face. Her long bob hairstyle is perfect for her big forehead, as the curls slightly cover her forehead and they also draw attention away from her hairline. To get Katherine’s glamorous curls, wrap large sections of hair around a large-barreled curling iron on low heat. Once you’ve created big, bouncy curls, use a light hairspray to keep them in place.
3. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Rihanna Fenty Sexy Bob With Side Fringe
Singer and songwriter Rihanna Fenty rocks a sexy bob with a huge, sweeping side-fringe. We love her edgy undercut and the contrasting long, sleek fringe that hides her forehead. If you’re looking for a short hairstyle that will suit your big forehead, then this is a great option. Maintenance is medium effort – you’ll need to keep the sides short and straighten the fringe every morning to keep it smooth and sleek. Invest in an anti-frizz serum to fight frizz, and some hair spray for extra styling power.
4. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Nicole Kidman Side Plait
Australian actress, singer and film producer Nicole Kidman looks divine with her side plait and a wispy side fringe. A side plait is great for drawing attention away from your forehead, as it draws the eye downwards. Part your hair to one side and style your side fringe over one eye for a super sexy and mysterious look. For extra texture, use a texturizing spray (e.g., a sea salt water spray) on your locks before styling.
5. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Rachel McAdams Up’do With Wispy Bangs
Canadian actress Rachel McAdams looks gorgeous with her simple up’do and soft, wispy bangs. We love how her bangs have been tapered and rounded so that they are longer at the sides, framing her face perfectly. Wispy bangs cover your forehead whilst still looking light and soft, instead of thick and bulky bangs that can look too harsh. For an extra-romantic finishing touch, embrace your hair’s natural texture and let the flyaway hairs frame your face.
6. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Yvonne Strahovski Curly Bob
Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski looks fabulous with her sexy, curly bob and a small side fringe. The side fringe and the curls work to conceal her big forehead, while her trendy below-the-chin length bob reflects her flirty personality and modern style. Use a hair straightener to create smooth waves, and a curling iron for pretty curls. Finish up with a light hairspray to keep your hairstyle in place.
7. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Jena Malone Sleek Bob
American actress and musician Jena Malone looks striking with her sleek bob and bold, sultry eye makeup. Once again, the side fringe is key to concealing a big forehead, and it’s effortlessly stylish too. You can opt for a sleek and sexy side fringe like Jena’s, a wispy and textured side fringe, or a piecey side fringe that covers more of your forehead. Ask your hair stylist which style would suit you best, taking into consideration your personal preferences and your face shape.
8. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Allison Williams Soft Waves
Girls star Allison Williams (aka Marnie Michaels) looks fantastic with her long, soft waves of hair and a rich chocolate brown hair color. If you have a big forehead and long hair like Allison’s, try a side-swept parting that sends your long locks cascading down your face, partially concealing your forehead. Add a few layers towards the ends of your hair for extra definition, and some pretty earrings to further draw attention away from your forehead.
9. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Leighton Meester Mid-length Waves
Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester looks radiantly beautiful with her mid-length waves of golden-brown hair. Her glossy, bouncy waves direct attention away from her big forehead, and we love the stylish medium length of her warm, light brunette locks. Take inspiration from Leighton and opt for an ombre fade hair color, from medium brunette roots to warm and romantic golden brown tips.
10. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Christina Hendricks Bold Layers
Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks looks superb with her dark auburn locks in bold layers. Her middle parting allows hair to partially conceal her big forehead, while the bold layers at cheek level direct the gaze downwards. For extra impact, opt for only one or two layers in your hair so that the layers are clearly visible. Finish off with some anti-frizz spray to keep your hair sleek, smooth, and shiny.
11. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Tyra Banks Long Bob
Former supermodel and TV personality Tyra Banks looks absolutely divine with her sleek and sexy long bob hairstyle. Tyra has openly joked about her “fivehead”, and she’s a big advocate for embracing natural beauty and enhancing your best features. Here she sports a gorgeous side-parted bob with rich chocolate brown highlights in her dark espresso brown hair. Simply gorgeous!
12. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Jennifer Garner Long Side-parted Locks
American actress and film producer Jennifer Garner looks effortlessly beautiful with her long, side-parted locks. We love her bold side fringe and the sexy waves in her glossy chestnut-brown hair. A side-fringe is very flattering for a big forehead, as it conceals it whilst also redirecting attention to your eyes and lips. For best results, make sure that your hair is super-healthy and shiny by making sure it’s properly moisturized. Try a deep moisturizing hair conditioning mask once a week to keep your hair in top condition.
13. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Malin Akerman Tousled Bob
Swedish Canadian actress, model and singer Malin Ackerman looks stunning with her blonde tousled bob. She wears her hair in a slightly off-centre parting, with soft waves that frame her face. These waves also conceal the upper corners of her forehead, making it look smaller. Use a curling iron on low heat to create sexy, tousled waves – simply wrap large sections of hair around the barrel (one section at a time) and keep them there for a few seconds before removing the curling iron. Then, brush them out for a less structured look, and set with hairspray.
14. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Kate Beckinsale Long Layers
English actress Kate Beckinsale rocks long, layered locks that frame her face. Layers are very flattering for all face shapes, provided that you keep the shortest layer below chin length (note: bangs and fringes don’t count as layers). A middle parting and A-line bangs work very well to hide a big forehead, whilst still leaving some skin visible. For a super sexy final look, take inspiration from Kate and straighten the layers that frame your face, and add subtle waves to the tips of your hair.
15. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Britney Spears Long Locks With Side Fringe
Recording artist and entertainer Britney Spears has successfully made her comeback, and she’s looking gorgeous with her long brunette locks and a little side fringe. The side fringe interrupts her big forehead, creating a stylish distraction that accentuates her eyes. To further draw attention away from a big forehead, make sure that your eyes are perfectly made up and your face is flawless.
16. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Mary-Kate Olsen Cute Braided Up’do
American actress, fashion designer, producer, author, and businesswoman Mary-Kate Olsen sports a cute braided up’do with loose tendrils of hair that frame her face. We love her messy crown braid, and her light, summery blonde hair color. Braided hairstyles draw attention away from a big forehead with their detailing, and wispy flyaway hairs with side bangs are a bonus as they further conceal the upper corners of your forehead. You can search YouTube for online tutorials on how to create a halo/crown braid, or any other kind of braided hairstyle you fancy.
17. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Alexis Bledel Glamorous Up’do
Actress, model, and producer Alexis Bledel looks effortlessly beautiful with her simple yet glamorous up’do and a cute side fringe. If you have a big forehead, don’t be afraid to wear your hair up – simply wear it with a side fringe or bangs, and choose a side parting to make styling easier. If you don’t have bangs or a fringe, you can create a side fringe by styling your hair with one section sweeping across your forehead and pinned at the side.
18. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Amy Jackson Sleek Ponytail
British model and actress Amy Jackson, best known for her work as an actress in Bollywood, looks divine with a sleek ponytail and a long, sweeping side fringe. Her side fringe helps to partially conceal her big forehead, and her pretty earrings and flawless makeup further draw attention away from her hairline. Take inspiration from Amy and keep your hair super shiny and smooth for a glamorous and sexy final look. Use an anti-frizz spray to tame flyaway hairs, and lay off the heat styling for a while to allow hair to recover for any heat related damage.
19. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Diane Kruger Messy Side Plait
German actress and former fashion model Diane Kruger looks laid back and effortlessly beautiful with her messy side plait and natural makeup. Her side-parted hair covers the upper corners of her big forehead, making it look less boxy and less noticeable. Her dangly earrings draw attention away from her hairline, and we love how they accentuate her lovely, elegant jawline. Get Diane’s delightfully carefree look by creating lots of texture in your hair before styling it in a very loose and messy side plait.
20. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Ellen Page Sweeping Side Fringe
Canadian actress Ellen Page looks gorgeous with her sweeping side fringe and slightly windswept locks. Her side fringe / bangs cover most of her big forehead, accentuating her stunning hazel eyes instead. This hairstyle requires a considerable amount of volume, so start by prepping your hair with volume boosting shampoo and conditioner. Then, work some volume-boosting hair styling mousse into your damp hair, and blow-dry with a round brush. Once your hair is dry, use a little bit of anti-frizz serum to tame the worst bits of fuzz, and leave the rest natural.
21. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Zooey Deschanel Choppy, Angled Bangs
Quirky New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel is well known for her thick bangs and her electric blue eyes. Here she wears her dark chocolate brown hair in a high ponytail, with her choppy, angled bangs concealing her big forehead. If you have a particularly high forehead, you can opt for longer bangs that skim your eyelashes. Before getting your bangs, consult with your hair stylist to choose the best style for your face shape. Also, thick bangs that completely cover your forehead are not a great idea if you’re prone to acne, as your forehead can get oily underneath the bangs and cause breakouts.
22. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Kate Bosworth Low Ponytail & Side Fringe
American actress, model and singer Kate Bosworth looks fabulous with her sexy low ponytail and a flattering side fringe. The low ponytail is a grown-up and sexy version of the regular ponytail, and it’s perfect for women with big foreheads as it draws attention away from the hairline. The side fringe is a bonus, as it partially covers a big forehead.
23. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Rachel McAdams Sexy Mid-Length Hairdo
Canadian actress Rachel McAdams looks phenomenal with a sexy mid-length hairstyle that sports a side-swept fringe and lots of waves. The side swept fringe is sexy and mysterious, and it’s also very flattering for her big forehead. We absolutely adore this volume-pumped hairstyle, and her summery light blonde hair color with its wheat blonde highlights and honey blonde low-lights.
24. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Summer Glau Cute Chignon
American actress Summer Glau looks glamorous with her cute chignon and long pieces of hair that frame her face. The chignon is like a fancy bun that is secured at the nape of the neck, and it’s perfect for formal events and first dates. Keep your hairstyle slightly “undone” and loose for a more natural and romantic style.
25. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Christina Ricci Modern Bob
American actress Christina Ricci looks fantastic with her pretty, modern bob hairstyle. If you have a round face and a big forehead like Christina’s, it’s best to opt for an angular side fringe or side bangs to break the “circle” outline of your face. Outward flicking curls and waves can also be very flattering – just remember to keep your bob length just below your chin, or it could make your face look even rounder!
26. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Mena Suvari Asymmetrical Bob & Blunt Bangs
American actress, fashion designer, and model Mena Suvari looks fabulous with her blonde asymmetrical bob and blunt bangs. Blunt bangs are very flattering for women with big foreheads, as they completely hide the forehead and draw all the attention to the eyes. If you have a wide forehead, opt for eye-brow length bangs, and if you have a high forehead, then rather go for eyelash skimming bangs.
27. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Alexis Bledel Wispy Bangs
American actress, model and producer Alexis Bledel looks gorgeous with her mid length wavy hairstyle and wispy bangs. Wispy bangs are less bold than blunt bangs, as they still leave some skin visible behind the hair. Perfect for a softer and more romantic look!
28. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Zooey Deschanel Side Bun & Thick Bangs
New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel looks divine with her side bun and thick, messy bangs that completely conceal her big forehead. The side bun is quirky and contemporary, and it’s a great modern style statement. For best results, pump your hair full of volume so that it looks super-thick and healthy before rolling it into a bun. Try using volume boosting styling mousse on damp hair and blow-drying with a round brush for extra volume.
29. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Yvonne Strahovski Sleek Asymmetrical Bob
Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski looks effortlessly beautiful with her super-sleek, asymmetrical bob. Her side parting keeps her hair covering the upper corners of her big forehead, making it look smaller. Opt for a deep side parting (one that extends back on your head) to keep hair on the assigned side. Use a straightening iron for sleek and smooth hair, and some anti-frizz spray to keep it looking polished and pretty.
30. Hairstyle for big foreheads: Zoe Saldana Medium Layers
Actress Zoe Saldana looks gorgeous with her layered medium-length locks. She wears her light chocolate-brown locks with a middle parting that allows her hair to cover the upper corners of her forehead, making it look smaller. We love the subtle layers in her hair, and her simple, natural makeup. To further draw attention away from a big forehead, take inspiration from Zoe and keep your makeup neutral with bright red lips.

Hi! So I have recently been invited to a wedding so my hair needs to be perfect obvs. But I have a big forehead, I’m partly lucky cos it is by flat, it goes up then in slightly. But anyway my hair naturally wavy but frizzy/bushy is shoulder length maybe a little longer. My face is long and oval, with almondy shaped eyes oh and I have had a front fringe that is as long as my face just above my chin. So what do I do?!?? Oh I’m black by the way, R

Bangs would work. Or, you could focus on making an up-do that has more horizontal volume than vertical volume. How do you normally style your hair?

Hi I have a big forehead….and I’m looking for a nice haircut.could u suggest which would be best for me…oh also I get a lot of pimples on my forehead..so it looks really ugly…could you please help me???????
web admin
April 29, 2016 at 7:50 am
Bangs will hide the pimple and the big forehead. Side swept bangs would look the best, but whatever works for you! Try not to use any hairstyles that add a lot of volume to the top of your head because these will only make your forehead more noticeable. Good luck, Khushi!

I would just talk to your stylist about what you could do with your hair. A ponytail and up-dos may be the best choices. Thanks for commenting!

i have big forehead and greasy hair any hair cut didnt suit for me i am fed up with my look what i do?
web admin
April 28, 2016 at 8:39 am
I am really not sure. Perhaps you could visit a hair stylist to see if you have any options for the greasiness. You could do side swept bands to minimize your forehead and sweep the rest of your hair into a bun or ponytail to hide the greasiness. I would probably start with going to a hair salon and asking about your options though. Good luck!

Admin, can you suggest me some good or even great hairstyle for a round-shaped face with a large forhead? I have tried some styles with side bangs and long layers middle-parting hair which works pretty good, but i need something that will make my face looks younger
Especially with a really thin hair.
web admin
April 4, 2016 at 5:51 pm
I think the style you described is the best that there would be for your face shape and hair thickness. As for looking younger, short hair seems to reduce how old people look. You may also want to try using coconut oil as your moisturizer–it seriously brightens up your skin and makes it very well hydrated. Good luck, Dee!

hi, i have a huge long forehead and a really small face, my forehead is like half my face and i look like a freak. Bangs would only make my face look even smaller and freaky, so i really dont know what to do.. i was wondering if maybe a tattoo artist could tattoo on a haieline so it would look lower, like how you can with an eyebrow pencil only permanent? or maybe it’s possible to use something else to lowe my hairline? please help me, i’m desperate and feel so ugly compared to the rest of the world. I can’t look like this anymore.

You are probably being overly harsh on yourself. People naturally critique their own faults much more than anyone else–other people probably do not even notice your forehead. Actually, the supermodel Tyra Banks was well known for having an overly large forehead. She always thought that it made her ugly, but it is exactly why she became popular as a model because it made her have a unique look. As for tattooing your forehead, I really do not know. I think that could end up looking even weirder, so I would be careful to think through this decision before you do anything.

Hmm . . . I am not sure what would look best. If you still have bangs, then you will just have to wait for them to grow out. Personally, I think side swept bangs diminish my forehead size, so maybe it would help if you play around with the bangs for a bit. You can also try to increase some of the volume on the sides to see if it will create an optical illusion of sorts. Good luck, Nenooh!

I have a really big forehead but I want to wear a ponytail because it is cooler and more comfortable. I tried side bangs, but they’re still too long to cover my forehead for a ponytail. What should I do?
web admin
March 1, 2016 at 9:00 am
You could try shortening the bangs or just get used to your big forehead. It is human nature to notice our own faults, and other people probably do not even notice your forehead. If you want to wear a ponytail, just do it! 🙂

Hello! I’m having a lot of trouble. I have a 6 finger forehead. With long hair down to my upper stomach. It is dirty blonde. I currently put it in a side part. I tried to fix my hair the way side bangs would look… But it ended up making my head/hair look flat! Any help??
web admin
February 6, 2016 at 8:17 am
Have you tried using a volumizing shampoo? Normally, side bangs help to hide a large forehead, but the flatness of your hair may be an issue. If you could add some volume to your hair, it could help things out a bit. The side part sounds like a good idea, so keep it up. If any of our readers have any more ideas, leave a comment!

I have a big Forehead too, but the problem is that my front hair are slight curly, so people tell that fringes wont work. what am I supposed to do then? can you plz suggest. thank you
web admin
January 27, 2016 at 11:31 am
Well, you could try straightening your bangs. There are also anti-frizz and straightening products that can help. Otherwise, you could try wearing your curls down–the extra volume on the sides would help to balance out your forehead. You could also reconsider the way you part your hair so that it slightly covers your forehead. How do you wear your hair now?

I know–celebrities are difficult subjects for articles since they are either super attractive or Photoshopped. We tried to find the best styles for big foreheads and then looked for as many images as we could wear the celebrity had the same style along with a big forehead. Thanks for commenting, Lindsey!

hi!! my forehead isnt that big but its big, but im a big fan of centre part hairstyles. do you think they’d fit?? or must i include bangs?? a friend suggested a high centre part.. what do you think
web admin
January 5, 2016 at 5:54 pm
You could do a center part, but a high center part would probably make your forehead more noticeable. Bangs will help, or you can have your hair slightly messy and in front of your face. What hairstyle are you currently considering?

Hi, I’m really self-conscious about my forehead. It’s so big but I’ve had a fringe my entire life and I got sick of it this summer so now my fringe/front hair is halfway down my neck (that sounds a bit weird but I’m just trying to say how long it is)
The rest of my hair is chest length, I’m thinking about cutting it because I have so many split ends.
But anyway I was just wondering what hairstyle would look good on me? I have an oval face shape and currently a middle part
web admin
January 3, 2016 at 12:32 pm
I personally like a side part for large foreheads because it tends to detract attention away from your forehead. The fringe/bangs that you have sound like they are a good length to become side swept bangs. As for the rest of your hair, it is really up to you. Layers would draw out your face a bit and detract from your forehead. What type of styles are you currently considering?

Hello! I have a big forehead my face shape is round, currently I have a side swept bangs but it got longer and I get irritated,so when I’m in school and it’s too hot I can’t tie up my hair because i’m being so concious. What hairstyle or braid will suit me?
web admin
December 17, 2015 at 4:03 am
Would it be possible to just cut your side swept bangs more frequently? If not, what about a twist braid? Or, have you seen the braid worn by Katniss in the Hunger Games movie? That braid would be able to sweep up some of the bangs pretty easily, and the asymmetrical style would help to distract from your forehead and your round face.

Hi! I have a long thin face with a pointy chin and a five finger forehead. My hair is dark brown and thin from the front but thicker from the back. It’s also straight with small waves at the bottom and currently at chest length. I’m looking for some haircuts and styles that would look good on me, except please not straight bangs down my forehead because I’ve tried that and it does not look good.

November 26, 2015 at 2:54 am
What type of hair styles are you currently looking at? Have you considered side swept bangs? Or something that is fuller on the sides? If you have a hairstyle that has more volume on the sides of your head, it will detract from your forehead.

I have a large forehead that I am always so self-conscious about. Other than that my face is kind of long/ovular with a regular smooth nose and regular eyes. I always have trouble coming up with a flattering hair style because of my extra long blonde hair that is usually flat. I also have a natural middle part, any suggestions?
web admin
October 30, 2015 at 4:31 pm
I think a middle part seems to accentuate a large forehead, so you may want to try a side part. Some people use regular bands or side swept bangs to hide a wider forehead. Additionally, adding volume on the sides (like curls) is a common technique, although your hair might not be the type that actually holds curls very well.

Bangs only look good on some people. Personally, only side-swept bangs really look good on me. Perhaps you could try out longer bangs that are side swept? If they don’t look good on you, longer bangs are easy enough to transform back into normal hair, and they will reach normal length much faster.

Hey Annia. I have a big forehead as well, and I’ve always been self concious about it. Now I’m trying to embrace it ’cause this is how God created me! There are so many worst problems than the one you and I have.
I think we have to really look ourselves in the mirror and think “I’m beautiful”. I think we’re so self concious about our big foreheads because media tells us to be.
So… let’s embrace our huge foreheads together!! ♥
