Hello! I have fine, shoulder-length, very dark brown hair. What color would be the easiest? (perhaps the burnt copper auburn?) My eyebrows are also very dark, and I have brown freckles that range from dark to very faint. Thank you!

You know, there are actually pictures of Jessica Alba with auburn hair. She looks pretty good in it, so I do not see why it will not work for you–although it would take some getting used to, I’m sure. When you color your hair, I would strongly recommend going to a hair salon to have it done. Red or auburn hair is notoriously finnicky to work with, and you do not want to end up with orange hair. Unless you know someone who is a whiz at hair coloring (and even then I would be wary), I would have it colored in a salon. Bring in a picture of the exact color that you want so that the stylist has a clear idea of the look that you are going for.

I would really like to dye my hair auburn, something like Isla Fisher or Khloe Kardashian, but I’m not sure it would look good on me… I have olive skin (like Jessica Alba or JLo) and brown eyes. My natural hair color is black.

I think burnt copper auburn or a similar shade would work great for you. Since red hair dye is notoriously hard to use, I would go to a hair salon to have it done. It may cost a bit (well, a lot) more, but you will not end up with your hair turning orange or weird colors.
