Figuring out how to get free makeup from companies isn’t always easy, but it is definitely something that you can do. One of the most common ways to do this is by reaching out to the company directly. While there are plenty of survey companies and free sample websites, many of them do not actually lead to getting any free stuff.

You don’t even have to write a snail mail letter and spend money on postage to do this. Many companies already have online forms and email contact options, so you can send out your letters for free and see what you get back.

There seems to be a certain technique that works best for getting a company to send you one of their PR packages, testers or samples. As long as you pick the right companies to write to, you will be surprised by how many respond with an actual free sample. These samples are great for whenever you want travel-sized products. Plus, some companies will even send you full-sized products. What do you have to lose?

How to Get Free Makeup From Companies

Skip out on all of those spam-like survey companies. You don’t have to give your email address to questionable surveys online to get free stuff. Instead, just go to the company directly. Figure out a list of businesses that you would like to get free things from and find their contact information.

Start by making a list of the companies. Then, go to their website to find their mailing or emailing address. Next, write out your message to them and send it off. Afterward, you only have to wait for your mail to arrive.

Different companies send out different samples. Even the time of year can determine the samples you get since some companies focus on sending out samples of their most recent product line or promotion.

Companies like Bare MInerals send out samples of lipstick, eyeshadow and lip gloss. From REN, Juara and DermOrganic, you can expect full-sized or sample-sized products of skincare items like cleansers or moisturizers. DermOrganic will also send out samples of hair care products, although you can also check out samples from Living Proof as well.

For perfume options, try reaching out to Boss and Lacoste. Perfume companies tend to be great for free samples, although their samples tend to be for one use only. Still, enough free samples will definitely give you a decent stockpile of your favorite scents!

1. Figure Out Who You Should Contact

You probably don’t want to email the billings department if you want free samples. Your message is more likely to get lost instead of getting forwarded on to someone who can actually set you up with samples. Start by making a list of which companies you actually want samples from. There are countless makeup companies online, but you should probably start with ones that you either use already or that you already know will actually send you a free sample.

Some companies will not write you back at all, so treat this like a numbers game. The more messages you send, the better your chances that someone will send you quality free samples in the mail. If you are in the UNited States, Burts’ Bees and Carmex will both send you samples.

Juara and REN are two other companies that are great for getting free samples. For skincare items, reach out to DermOrganic. Don’t feel limited by just the companies that you know will see a free sample because you could end up getting surprised.

2. Get an Address

Your next step is to figure out who to message at the company and the address you need to use. The easiest way to do this is to go to the “Contact Us” page on the company’s website. If you don’t find any contact details on that page, try looking at the “About Us” or “Help” pages.

You need to make sure that you are choosing the right email address. Most larger businesses will have different departments, and you don’t want to accidentally message a department that will never actually message back or send a free sample. Normally, the media relations, public relations or customer service departments are the best choice.

While some companies still use a postal address, most businesses use email addresses for customer contacts instead. In some cases, the company may even use a simple online form for reaching out to customer service. As long as you have a way to send the company a message, you are on the right track.

3. Decide on What You Want to Say

There are many different ways that you can write out your letter, but you don’t have to get crazily creative with it. If you are a blogger who writes about makeup, you already have an in. You want the company to either be excited about getting free publicity from you or interested in further developing a customer relationship with a loyal client.

Start your message with a formal, polite greeting. Then, tell the company that you are writing because you wanted to tell them how much you like their range of products. Pick whatever your product is and tell them your genuine opinion. Not only is the company happy to hear back from their customers, but this is one of the best techniques for figuring out how to get free makeup from companies.

To make your letter more personal and authentic, add a personal experience. This can be as simple as saying how their hand cream finally got rid of the cracks in their hands or how you only use their brand’s eyeshadow when you go out on the town. You might also want to sneak in your skin or hair type into the personal experience because this will make it more likely that they send you a free sample that actually works for your skin type.

Now, it is time to ask for free samples. Try not to be too straightforward or blunt about it. Instead, you can mention that your hair stylist talked up their range of conditioners or you wish you could try a product before you buy it to see if it really works.

Thank the company for reading through your message and express gratitude for any free samples that they send you. After you sign off the message, write out your address so that they know where they can send you free samples if that’s what they want to do.

Start Brainstorming

If you have never message a company before or haven’t written at all since grade school, here is a sample message to get you started. While you will need to change up the message to match the company you are corresponding with, the general idea is the same.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been such a fan of your company for years. I love using your skincare products because they are the only thing that rehydrates my skin in dry weather. All of your products really work, so I never have to try out anything else.

Recently, one of my friends said that your bath products are just as good as your skincare line. I’d love to try these out, but I’m hesitant to just buy the entire product before I know which one I like and which one works best for me.

If possible, could you send me some products from your bath products line? I would be so thankful if you could help out. You can send any samples to my address at _____. Thank you so much!

Sincerely,

Name

Remember, focus on the positive. Unless you have a legitimate complaint about the business and need to address it, don’t fill your letter with problems or issues. Companies would much rather help out loyal, returning customers with free stuff, so focus on the positive.

Why Would a Company Send You Free Things?

Figuring out how to get free makeup from companies seems like magic. After all, you wouldn’t just give away your things to strangers, right? Free samples are free for you, but they cost money for the company.

The reality is that sending out free samples is actually in the company’s best interest. Even if you plan on stockpiling free samples and never actually buying any product, the reality is that you will have to buy full-sized cosmetics at some point. Plus, most people end up falling for a product if it is really good and want to buy it. Companies want people to try out their makeup and cosmetics, so they try to entice customers with free samples or even full-sized cosmetics.

It also does not cost nearly as much money as you would imagine to send out free samples. Often, cosmetic businesses will send out these samples anyway when you buy something online of in the store. These samples are just lying around in the hopes that they will be sent to someone who will try them and want to buy them.

If you are a blogger or a makeup artist, you can even get PR packages instead of just free samples. Companies like to do this whenever they have a new product launch or season. Sometimes, they will even host events for bloggers and makeup artists. They want to promote their items, so they send out PR packages in the hopes that you will write about their company for free.

If you ever write reviews about makeup products or blogs, you may be able to get a generous PR package from companies. When you write to the PR department, include the URL of your blog, company or YouTube channel so that they know you are a legitimate blogger who can help advertise their company.

Then, ask the company if they are launching a new product line or if there are any blogger events coming up. If you recently used a company’s makeup at an event, send the company a picture and tell them thank you for the makeup.

4. Get Ready to Send Away Your Message

The time has finally arrived. You have found your list of companies and carefully crafted a message to each of them. Now, you just have to send off your email or letter and wait to see what happens.

When you send your message, make sure that you have written the physical or email address correctly. If your email gets lost in the internet ether, you will never, ever get free makeup from the company. The same is true if you send it to the wrong department. The person who receives the email is unlikely to remember to forward it to the right department, so you could be out of luck if your message does not automatically go to customer service or the PR department at the company.

Now that all of your messages are safely in the mail, the hard part is waiting for a response. Don’t panic if you do not get any response for a few days. If you sent an email, it will probably take at least a couple of days for the company to respond by email. Obviously, snail mail will take even longer. If the company decides to mail you the samples instead of emailing you, you might not have any clue about how your plan is coming along for a few months.

Learning how to get free makeup from companies is an art in itself. In some cases, it can even take as much as two months for a company to receive your letter, respond and mail you free samples. The good news is that makeup, skincare, perfume and cosmetic companies always have free samples lying around that they want potential or current customers to fall in love with. While your results will vary depend on which company you message, you can generally expect about half of your messages to bring you a free sample in return. Plus, if you are messaging a perfume company, you will almost always get a free sample in the mail!

Young or old, man or woman, I think we can all agree on one thing: getting a hickey is awesome. It feels incredible, and even though you know you’re going to have to deal with the consequences of a big ugly red mark on your body when it’s over, you just simply can’t say ‘no’.

But walking around with this atrocity isn’t very ideal, is it? In fact, it can be downright embarrassing. It can even cause you to get in to a bit of trouble with parents, bosses, or even teachers!

So what’s a girl to do? We’ve got you covered with 7 great ways to hide a hickey until it’s over.

how to hind a hickey

Turtleneck

A turtleneck is probably one of your best options when it comes to hiding a hickey. It keeps your neck completely concealed no matter which way you turn or bend or wiggle, and you won’t have to worry about the turtleneck coming loose or undone or fading throughout the day.

However, you need to be sure of two things: you absolutely can NOT wear a turtleneck during the summer, as this screams ‘I have a huge hickey I don’t want anyone to see!’. Another thing, make sure you don’t go buying a turtleneck because you have a hickey, and you’ve never worn a turtleneck before in your life. This is another obvious sign you are trying to hide something and EVERYONE will know.

hinding a hickey

Collared Attire

If turtlenecks aren’t your thing, there’s another great way to hide that hickey: by wearing something with a collar. There are plenty of different garment options out there with high collars that can hide a hickey with ease, whether it’s a cute shirt or a warm jacket.

Just make sure the collar is high enough to conceal your big red blemish from the crowd, and ensure that your collar will hold straight during the day and not bend or ‘come down’, revealing the true reason behind your outfit choice.

Chunky Neck Jewelry

Chokers are really hot right now, so you can use this as a win-win situation when trying to hide that hickey. If your hickey just so happens to be in the perfect place where it can be hidden with a trendy choker, then it’s truly a simple solution. The best part is, it will probably go with your outfit no problem!

Your Hair

For the ladies out there with long hair, you can probably use your lengthy locks to your advantage here. Longer strands can be manipulated and styled to conceal your hickey; you just need to ensure that you don’t move your hair and that it stays in the right place all day so nobody can see your dirty little secret.

Scarf

Another go-to when it comes to hickey concealing is none other than the scarf! Scarves are typically in your wardrobe for fall and winter seasons already, so wearing your scarf like you would any other day won’t be an issue. However, if you’ve never worn a scarf before in your life you may have an issue with questioning friends and family. Also, NEVER wear a scarf during the summertime! Unless of course….

You buy one of those super thin and silky floral scarves that are made strictly for summer wear.

Bandaid

So, I know this may seem like a bad idea, but it can work if you only use it once a year. Using a super, over-sized bandaid to cover your neck in dire situations is a solution for hickey covering. With this you can make up any kind of story you want. Maybe you got burned by your curling iron, or maybe you got in a fight with your cat and he scraped away at your neck?

There’s a million reasons why you may have a bandaid on your neck, but nobody is going to question you if you don’t do it all the time. No problems!

Makeup

The absolute best trick in the book is to use makeup to cover up that big problem! But don’t think you can throw on some foundation and call it a day. There is actually a four step process that needs to be fulfilled before you’re hickey-free.

First and foremost, start off with a yellow-based concealer to get rid of all the blue and purple coloring in your ‘bruise’.

Secondly, apply a green concealer to get rid of the red hues.

Thirdly, a good concealer that matches your skin tone or is slightly lighter than your skin tone is necessary.

Last but not least, apply the foundation you use on your face. Make sure to blend this foundation thoroughly and get your edges blended so it looks completely natural.

Your hickey should be completely gone after this- until of course your makeup starts to come off!

How do you hide your hickeys?

There are also some great home remedies that you could try if you are looking for ways on how to get rid of a hickey altogether.

Hate shaving? Join the club- the brazilian wax club! But before you strip it to the bare skin, get the low-down on 10 things you need to know before your first brazilian.

I think we can all agree that shaving sucks. It takes forever, you’re always left with razor bumps, and you have to repeat the process all over again just a few short days later. What’s the solution? A brazilian wax! It’s not as scary as you think, but there are a few things you should definitely know beforehand.

Let Your ‘Hair Down Under’ Grow Out a Half Quarter Inch

I know, I know. If you’re used to shaving your private area, not shaving for at least a week beforehand is going to be torture; but I guarantee the end results are worth it. Imagine: you won’t have to shave ever again and you’ll be completely hairless down there for weeks on end before needing another waxing job. Amazing, right!?

Let your hair grow out at least a half quarter inch. If you don’t do this necessary step, your waxer may reject you because they won’t be able to ‘grab’ your hair with the wax and pull it off.

Can Only Be Done on Healthy Skin

Now, we have to tell you this beforehand: only healthy skin can get waxed. If you are struggling with any type of skin issue from psoriasis to an STD, you won’t be able to get a brazilian wax. Do a thorough check and make sure you’re skin is completely healthy before making your appointment.

Have a Little Before-Wax-Wine

You’re going to be getting butt naked in front of a stranger, and they are going to be stripping hair from the roots on one of your most sensitive areas; painful and embarrassing simultaneously. Take the edge off with a glass of wine before you head in for your wax. It’ll relax your body just enough so you won’t be too shy to get naked, or cringe too hard when they rip off the hair.

Know You Will Be Fully Exposed

This kind of goes without saying, but just know there is no special underwear or undergarment provided to cover you up- even if it is just a tad. Your entire naughty area will be exposed for them to see, but don’t worry- they’re not vagina judgers, so no need to be worried.

Know You Will Feel Awkward

Unless you’re one of those few people who absolutely don’t care about someone seeing you naked, you’re probably going to feel a little bit awkward. And that’s okay! Professionals have seen a million vaginas before, so yours is nothing special. Just get it over with and try to think of small talk conversations you can distract yourself with.

Brazilian Waxes Include the Behind

Brazilian waxes are NOT bikini waxes for the simple fact that they wax your butt hairs as well. I mean, hey, if you want to be totally clean and fresh down there, you’ve got to go ALL the way. But don’t worry! Most people say this part actually hurts less than the rest of the procedure.

It’s Gonna Hurt

I didn’t want to tell you this, but I feel I have to warn you: it’s going to hurt. Although, depending on how high your pain tolerance is, it might not be that bad, but you’re still going to feel uncomfortable with a slight cringe.

Now, I’m not talking so painfully horrible you want to cry- it’s nothing like that! But you have to think of it this way: stripping hair from the roots sounds painful, right? And it’s pretty traumatic. So just be prepared to bite your lip, grip your hands on anything and everything nearby, and always take a deep, deep breath!

Shower Beforehand

I guess this isn’t actually mandatory, but it certainly is the right thing to do. I think showering beforehand is simply a respect thing. Would you go on a hot date with your boyfriend without showering first, knowing he was going to be anywhere near your lady parts? Probably not. Show the same respect and etiquette for your wax artist and shower beforehand.

It will probably make you feel a little less insecure knowing you smell nice and fresh down there anyways, so it works for everyone. Shower beforehand!

Wear Comfortable Clothes

After your wax job is over, you’re going to have some redness and maybe a little bit of lasting pain (again, nothing terrible, more like just irritation). For this reason, you will want to wear comfortable clothes that won’t put any pressure on your newly shaved parts.

One garment that is highly recommended for a brazilian wax is of course a skirt. A skirt makes it easy to show up, lift your skirt up, and get the job done. It’s also an ease to just throw the skirt over your naughty area and leave. A dress could also work in the same way, but pants- especially jeans- are NOT recommended.

Nothing Strenuous for at Least 24 Hours (Including Sex!)

Apparently not all places will tell you this, but it’s definitely a good idea. So if you thought you were going to get waxed and trot on over to your hubby’s house for a passion-filled night, you thought wrong. Any time of strenuous activity from intercourse to working out or horseback riding (or whatever you do that’s strenuous) will cause lots of sweating. Sweat and bacteria could easily enter into your sore, torn open pores, leaving you with an infection. On the other hand, these types of activities could also irritate your already annoyed skin for a rather unpleasant feeling that lasts a lot longer than it should.

Brazilian waxes aren’t all that bad, really. But knowing what you’re getting yourself into is definitely a good thing. Just make sure you’re clean, relaxed, and ready for an experience unlike anything you have probably ever felt before.

Have you ever had a brazilian wax? How was it? What advice would you give a first-timer?

With summer right around the corner, it’s more important than ever to get one of those gorgeous, luscious tans. But for some of us, simply sitting out in the sun doesn’t do the trick. And for the rest of us, achieving a tan before bikini season is optimal as opposed to waiting till the last second. For these reasons (alongside many, MANY others) tanning beds are a huge hit.

But let’s be real. Walking into the tanning salon, stepping in the tanning bed, and waiting for the perfect tan isn’t going to happen like magic (unless you were blessed with amazingly good skin that tans perfectly, of course). If you want the best tan of your life, you need to follow these simple tips and tricks on how to get a perfect tan from a tanning bed.

Know Your Skin Type

It’s imperative that you know your skin type before stepping into the tanning bed. Determining your skin type is crucial to knowing how long you should stay inside of the tanning booth before you end up burning. There is 6 total skin types, 1 being extra fair skin that burns extremely quickly, while type 6 is for darker skin that won’t burn.

Exfoliate Before You Tan

With extra dead skin cells hanging around your body, there won’t be much room left for your tan to penetrate the skin. What does this mean? A body that’s less tanned, and more full of that icky leftover dead skin- yuck!

If you aren’t already exfoliating, it is highly recommended to exfoliate thoroughly before heading in for your tanning session. Exfoliating gets rid of all those pesky dead skin cells, allowing for a deeper tan that will last MUCH longer- and that’s definitely a goal for the tanning gal.

Use a Tanning Lotion

I am not going to lie to you- tanning lotions, the high quality ones that actually work that is, can be on the expensive side; we’re talking like over 50 dollars, and sometimes even higher than that! But don’t let the price scare you- they are WELL worth it.

A high quality tanning lotion (which can be found inside of almost any tanning salon) will increase your tan from anywhere from 40 to 70 percent, which means a delicious sunkissed result that happened a lot quicker and easier than you have ever imagined.

Tanning lotions are an absolute must for girls that have a really hard time achieving a tan, and is perfect for anyone really who wants the perfect tan with soft, succulent skin afterwards.

Don’t Stay in Longer Than Recommended

If you stay in longer than the recommended time, you may end up burning your skin. This is something you need to completely avoid at all costs, as it is very damaging to your skin. That is why it is important to find out your skin type before stepping in the tanning salon. Every skin type will have a recommended time for being inside of the tanning bed, and you need to follow this perfectly.

If you do end up burning for some odd reason, you need to wait until you are completely healed before stepping inside the tanning bed to avoid further issues with your skin.

Wear the Safety Goggles

You can seriously damage your eyes if you do not wear your safety goggles inside of the tanning bed. PLEASE don’t forget about them! You would NOT want to cause permanent damage to your lovely eyes just because you wanted to get a tan.

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO WEAR THE SAFETY GOGGLES!

Use a Tan Extender

A tan extender is another useful and handy lotion that you apply after your tanning session is complete. Tan extenders are exactly how they sound: they extend the life of your tan, which means when you reach a nice shade, you won’t have to go to the tanning bed so often.

Tan extenders can be a little on the pricey side, but they are definitely worth it if you want your tan to stick around for the entire summer season.

Don’t Shower Directly After Tanning

Showering right after a tanning session is like painting a pretty picture and then splashing water all over it; it completely defeats the purpose!

You need to wait at least three hours (and preferrably longer) before you take a shower after tanning. If you shower too soon, you won’t give your skin enough time to soak in the color, and you will end up washing half of it out; and you DON’T want that.

Just wait before you shower and you will be very happy with your results.

Don’t Tan Too Often

You don’t need to tan every single day to reach your desired shade. Even if you don’t think there is any progress going on whatsoever, there is no need to rush it. Tans take time, especially if you are not one to tan very well. Over-tanning is only going to cause a mess of problems for you skin, and you may even end up burning instead of tanning- and we all know that is not a look we want to rock all summer long.

Instead of trying to rush your tan, let the process work on its own accord. In no time you will be left with the perfect tan, even if it takes a couple of weeks before you actually get to where you want to be.

The best things come to those who wait, right? Well this is completely true for the tanning world as well. Don’t be eager- let the process happen the way it needs to happen and you will have the best tan of your life!

If you’re on a mission to get a tan this summer, do it the right way. Make sure you’re using a high quality tanning lotion and only stay in the tanning bed for the recommended amount of time. You will be tan in no time!

How do you get a good tan?

If you work for someone else forever, you may earn enough to live, but you will never become rich. To actually make a good living, you have to become an entrepreneur as well. Opening up your own hair salon is the first step toward increasing your revenue and developing an extensive clientele. Unfortunately, the competition can be tough in this industry. With only a few tools needed and the cost of rent, anyone can open their own hair salon. If you want to earn money, your salon has to stand out from the crowd. One of the ways to do this is by thinking of the perfect, cool salon name.

Naming Your Hair Salon

To start with, you need to begin brainstorming unique names for your hair salon. Start to think about your ideal client. Are you catering to hipsters or families? Do you want little, old ladies to come in for their weekly hair styling, or are you looking to attract the well-to-do?

Once you know who your salon is supposed to attract, you can start brainstorming names. Hair-related verbs like dye, style, curl, color, blow dry, cut and perm are all great ways to show what your business does. Rhyming names or alliteration (having all the name start with the same letter) can help you to stand out. You can also use your own name or name your salon after your unique specialty. In addition to telling clients what you do, naming it after your specialty means that more of the clients will come in for what you are best at, and you will get better reviews.

1. The Color Palette: If you specialize in dyeing hair, then this is the name for you.

2. Bombshell Studio: Hollywood bombshells are effortlessly glamorous, so this is a great name for a salon if you want to reflect glamour and beauty.

3. Blunt Cut: This is a cute play on words.

4. Serenity Salon: Alliteration is a great way to make your salon name more memorable.

5. The Makeover Place: If you have a makeup artist on staff or a nail technician, then this would be a really good name since clients could get an entire makeover at your salon.

6. Mon Petite Hair: This is a cute name for a hair salon that specializes in children’s hair cuts or has a lot of families that come in.

7. The Hair Lair: Rhyming words always make the name of a salon sound better.

8. Inspirations Salon: It might not be super creative, but this name works pretty well.

9. Under the Dryer: This is another name that is a play on words.

10. Undercut: Since undercut can also mean low prices, this name works best if you run a budget salon with fairly low prices.

11. Salacious Styles: One synonym of salacious is “sexy,” so this is a great way to use alliteration and market the types of styles that you do.

12. Color Me Crazy: If your hair salon specializes in colors and dyes, then this is a wonderful name to choose.

13. Chop-Chop Hair Salon: Chop-chop can refer to hair cuts and scissors, but it is also a way of saying that you are super fast.

14. Fringe: Simple, but complete.

15. Bed Head: Hopefully, no one who enters your salon with bed head will also leave with it.

16. Styles n’ Smiles: This is a cute name that uses alliteration to make it easier to remember.

17. Spectrum Hair Salon: This name sounds almost futuristic, so it would work well if your salon has a more modern design.

18. Feathered Flip: For some reason, this name sounds like one that would appeal to hipsters.

19. Auburn Studio: You could also modify this name with your favorite hair color.

20. Masterpieces Hair Salon: Hopefully, your hair salon will be a place where great masterpieces are made.

21. Live or Dye: While it might sound a little dark, it is memorable and is a name that you have probably never heard before.

22. The Colorist: This name wins because of its very simplicity.

23. Blue H2O Salon: If your salon is by the beach, use this one.

24. Holy Snip: Obviously, this one is a play on words that you couldn’t actually name your salon. It wins points for being creative though!

25. Just Curls: If you like up-dos and styling, use this name.

26. Turning Heads: Hair is on the head, but you want a style that turns heads. Thus, you have the perfect hair salon name.

27. Snappy Styles: Snappy can mean both quick and fashionable, so it is a great hair salon name.

28. On Edge: Edgy is often the term used for things that are fashionable, so this is a great way to say that you specialize in the latest styles.

29. Stylin’ Chic: Chic also sounds like “chick,” so it is an ideal way to signal that your salon caters to fashionable young women.

30. Big Hair Beauty Salon: If you like perms and big hair, go with this name.

31. Strands: This name is fairly simple, but it works.

32. Tresses: Again, this is another name that is super simple, but still cute.

33. Highlights Salon: If you love doing highlights and have a knack for it, use this salon name.

34. Shears: We like a lot of the simplest names because they are so easy for clients to remember.

35. Brass Palace: Hopefully, none of your dyes will have too brassy of a color too them.

37. Color Chic: This name is great because of its alliteration and because it showcases your best service.

41. Strand by Strand: We love how cute this name is.

42. Dyeing for Color: When you are dying for something, it is because you really want it. This name is a play on words, but it also showcases that you specialize in coloring.

43. Hair Wizard: Obviously, you may have to transform this one to “Hair Witch” or “Hair Magic” if you are a woman.

44. Mirror, Mirror: I love this one because it plays on the story of Snow White.

45. Beach Waves: If your shop is by the beach, this is a great name. Otherwise, your clients may not know exactly what you do.

46. Hair Express: This type of salon name sounds like a budget, family-friendly salon. If that describes your salon, then it will be a great choice.

47. Ace of Fades: This one is just adorable sounding.

48. Chop Shop: Obviously, this salon name is also a play on words.

49. Bad Hair Day: When someone has a bad hair day, they will know just where they can go to fix it.

50. Fly-Away Hair: Fly-away hair sounds cute, so we think that it is a great salon name.

51. Unique Creations Salon: If you can’t think of any other name, you can use this one. Otherwise, you might want to avoid it. It is kind of cute, but we think it would be too hard for customers to remember.

52. Spritz Salon: This one wins for alliteration and for being descriptive about at least one aspect of the salon.

53. By the Strand Hair Salon: You always hear “by the sea” in city names that are by the ocean, so this is a cool salon name to use if your salon is near the beach or another waterway.

54. A Designers Edge: Edgy cuts and talented hair stylists are exactly what this salon name conjures to mind.

55. Beauty Town: It might not be super clever or innovative, but this name will still work.

56. The Braidy Bunch: If you specialize in braids (especially for families), this is a wonderful name to choose. You should probably make sure that it isn’t protected by a copyright before you use it though.

57. Hair Matrix: This sounds like a hip, modern salon that is perfect for younger clientele.

58. Curl Me Crazy: Obviously, this is a play on the phrase, “Call Me Crazy.”

59. Curly Girl: If you love doing curls and want people to know it, go with this name.

60. Hair Zoo: Hair Zoo would be a great name for a salon that specializes in children’s cuts. In keeping with the name, you could decorate the salon with animal motifs.

61. Knot Just Hair: We love this name.

62. Beauty Mark: Beauty Mark sounds cute, but it doesn’t illustrate what your salon does.

63. The Trim Is In: We think that this name is quite clever.

64. Cutting Edge: We love the play on words in this salon name.

65. Belle Curls: Beautiful curls is what this name translates to.

66. Tres Beaux: This salon name means very beautiful and is a perfect way to show that you specialize in beauty. The French aspect could also signify that your salon has a more upscale clientele.

67. Quick Cuts: If you specialize in budget cuts, go with this name.

68. Mama Bear’s Hair: This is an ideal name for a family-focused salon or a salon for mothers.

69. Bon Bon: It is cute, but it isn’t particularly illustrative.

70. Chic Cuts: It wins points for alliteration, but the “Ch” and “C” sounds are actually different.

71. Shortcuts: This is an adorable name.

72. Dyeing for You: It might be a little too morbid, although it is creative.

73. Hair Castle: This is another name that would be well-suited for a shop that specializes in cuts for children and families.

74. Hollywood Cuts: Everyone wants to look like Hollywood stars, so this is a great name for your shop.

75. Beauty and the Beach: Obviously, this name works better if you are actually near a beach.

76. Castle of Curls: If you want to go old school (really old school), decorate the interior of your salon like a medieval castle. Themed-shops can do surprisingly well.

77. Scissors N’ Razors: It is simple, but accurate.

78. Structures: This one wins points for being short, but I am not sure what it is actually supposed to signify.

79. Beehive: There used to be a style called a beehive, so this is an accurate, yet cute, name.

80. On Point Hair: Technically, on point should probably be spelled “en pointe,” but the spelling is up to you.

81. Snip, Snip, Hurrah!: Hip, Hip, Hurrah for cool salon names!

82. Sweet Pixie Salon: We like this name.

83. Cutting Line Studio: This name sounds fairly hip.

84. Curly Cue’s: If you want a sweet, cutesy name, go with this one.

85. Lavish Locks: This name gets bonus points for alliteration.

86. Styles Studio: Again, this is another example of good alliteration.

87. Bad Apple Salon: Bad apple also has the same acronym as a certain curse word meaning hard core, so we like this name for a more modern salon.

88. Chopz: Simple, yet effective.

89. Beyond the Mirror: This is one of the cutest names on this list.

90. Halo: A halo is around your head. A hairstyle is around your head. Is it a match made in . . . heaven?

91. Hair with Flair: Make sure that you spell “flair” right, or your clients may think that there will be fire (flare) around their hair, which is probably not what you want them to think.

92. A Little off the Top: We think this is an adorable name.

93. Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow: This sounds like a name for a shop that specializes in older clients.

94. Color, Cut and More: It says everything, although it might not be that creative.

95. Ala Mode : This means of the latest fashion or in fashion.

96. Mother Hair’s: Mother’s Hair sounds like mother bear, so this is a cute name for a shop that has a lot of mothers on the clientele list.

97. Cute Cut: Simple, yet effective.

98. Appt-Only : Obviously, you should only use this name if your clients can only get in by appointment.

99. Razor Sharp: Another cute name.

100. Bam Hair Studio: It might not be extremely creative, but it would work.

Plenty of us struggle with acne on our face cheeks; but what about those other ‘cheeks’ down below? Even though plenty of us have the dreaded butt-pimples, most of us are too embarrassed to discuss it with our friends to find the answer to our little problem. Ditch the embarrassing conversations and get rid of those pesky butt pimples in a flash with these 5 tips to getting RID of acne on butt for GOOD.

Why Am I Struggling with Butt Acne?

It’s not as ‘weird’ as you think; it is actually very common, and the reasons for butt pimples is very simple to explain as well. You are either struggling with dry skin- and since your clothes are always attached to your body, there’s room for extra irritation, or you have bacteria getting trapped inside of your butt pores- either from wearing tight clothes, sitting too often, or not showering as often as you should (especially after working out).

First and Foremost: You Need a Cleanser/Body Wash With Benzoyl Peroxide

One of the quickest and easiest ways to get rid of acne on the butt is to use a cleanser or body wash with benzoyl peroxide in it. This tropical antiseptic is commonly found in facial cleansers in an effort to get rid of acne on the face, but it can also be used in the shower to get rid of that butt acne. Just be extra careful when using this product, as using it far too often can definitely dry out your skin.

There are plenty of options when it comes to washes with benzoyl peroxide inside, and most of these products will have the ingredient listed on the front. If this ingredient name isn’t popping out at you while searching down the isle, finding any body wash designed for acne will do the trick. The product will most likely have benzoyl peroxide inside, but if you want to double check, simply look at the ingredients on the back of the product.

Use Salicylic Acid a Few Times a Week

For 99 percent of people, the only reason they are getting butt acne is simply because bacteria is getting clogged inside of the pores. One quick way to remove all of that gunk and fend off future issues is to use salicylic acid a couple of times a week.

However, do keep in mind that salicylic acid is very strong and can irritate or dry out the skin if used too often. For this reason, stick to using it just a few times, maybe 2 or 3 times in a week. You can find exfoliating pads for a quick fix, or try on some creams or lotions after you shower to solve the butt acne.

Moisturize with Lactic Acid

So, I am just going to be really honest with you: lactic acid is NOT the best smelling thing in the world. But, you know what? It works. And that is why I am recommending it to you to get rid of those pimples!

Lactic acid can easily be found in lotions, and it is designed to increase the amount of moisture and water in the skin. This is the perfect solution if you’re struggling with butt acne due to dry skin.

ALWAYS Shower After Working Out

You might just want to skip the shower if you’re in a rush, but we highly recommend you don’t delay that shower and head right to the water when you’re done with your workout. Not only will this ensure you smell delicious for whatever event you’re headed to next (and that could just be going to bed and getting a good nights sleep!) but it will also ensure there is no leftover sweat or bacteria being left on your bum.

Sweat opens up your pores, leaving plenty of opportunity for bacteria and other nasty germs to enter with ease. It is SO important to shower, especially after working out, whether you use a simple anti-bacterial soap or go all out with your special acne-fighting product.

Don’t Wear Tight Clothing All of the Time

We KNOW you love your tight clothes that show off ALL those delightful curves, but taking a day off from form-fitting outfits will give your bum some time to ‘breathe’. Instead of those tight pants of shorts, why not put on one of those adorable springtime dresses? And you can’t go wrong with a sexy skirt, right! There’s plenty of different options, but the goal is to give your bum a breather.

Don’t Sit for Too Long

I think we can all agree we do a LOT of sitting throughout the day: when we go to school, if we work a sedentary desk job, if we’re watching television, or just hanging out with our pals! All that sitting means your bum is getting NO air, which leaves plenty of opportunity for pesky bacteria to intrude. All that sitting isn’t good for you to begin with, but it’s especially bad if you’re a struggler of butt pimples.

Try and get more exercise; even simply standing up and giving your butt some air is enough though, really. If you work a desk job try and get up multiple times throughout your shift to avoid too much sitting.

Who would have thought something as simple as standing up more could help with butt acne? Yep, it’s true!

Avoid Heavy Lotion and Oils

Oil is a BIG no-no as it will definitely clog up your pores in an instant. But furthermore, avoid any type of thick, heavy lotions as these can also clog your pores and give your bum less room to get rid of icky toxins.

Drink More Water

Drinking enough water is crucial for your overall health, but while we are on the subject of toxins and butt acne, let me tell you this much: drinking plenty of water will help you to get rid of excess toxins in the body. And if you have acne anywhere- on your bum, face, back, or wherever- lots of water will definitely help your body filter toxins out to get rid of the acne. It’s not the ONLY recipe for success, but it is a HUGE impact on the fight against butt acne.

Never: I Repeat, NEVER Pop Your Pimples

You have probably heard this a million times already, but I am here to tell you again: don’t pop your pimples! No matter where the pimples are located, popping them will only make the problem a million times worse; and that is exactly what we are trying to avoid, right? Keep your hands away from the pimples and follow the other steps to a pimple-free bottom.

You don’t have to struggle with acne on your bottom forever. By following these simple steps to get rid of butt acne, you can live life with a pretty butt you’ll want to show off in a bikini.

Do you struggle with acne on the butt? What do you do to fix the problem? Have you tried any of these remedies? Did they work for you? Share your stories below- remember, no need to be embarrassed here!

So for the upcoming spring and summer seasons you decided you want to take the plunge and go for that ‘beach babe’ blonde hair. The directions on the box were pretty simple, and you simply can’t WAIT to see your perky bright results. But then, oh no- you took a glance in the mirror only to find out your hair turned an awful orange hue. It’s an instant disaster and you’ve pledged to never leave the house again.

Before you decide you’re banned from the outside world due to your hair nightmare, please know this: there ARE ways to fix orange hair, and they are a lot easier than you think!

Why did my hair turn ORANGE?!

Unless you’re going for a quirky, out-of-the-box look featuring bright orange locks, you’re probably asking yourself WHY your hair turned this atrocious shade. The answer is really simple: your hair simply didn’t lighten up enough. This can be caused for a few several different reasons, but the main reason why hair did not lighten up is because you simply did not leave the dye on for the amount of time necessary to completely lighten up your hair. Another factor is heat- some hair simply will not ‘come up’ to the desired color unless heat is applied.

HOW can I fix my orange hair?

Luckily there are a few quick fixes to terrible orange manes. Some of these easy-to-follow fixes will include toners, box dyes, and there is even an all-natural way to neutralize your locks to get a better hair color with a simple ingredient most of us have already in our pantry. Which way you decide to fix your orange hair is entirely up to you and every fix will have its own different result, from super light and trendy blonde to a more toned down light brown hue.

Fixing Your Patchy Hair with Box Dye

Sometimes applying dye to your own hair can be tough, and you may end up missing chunks and pieces of your locks. If you find yourself with ‘patchy’ hair- some of it turned up yellow, and the rest turned up orange- you probably did not cover your hair completely or use enough dye to soak in the hair color. This is a super easy fix- all you need to do is buy the hair dye again and re-do your hair. You may want to have a friend help you out to ensure all the strands are covered and you don’t end up missing more pieces!

  1. Buy hair dye. Make sure there is enough to completely drench your locks. Parting your hair into small sections will help you to make sure ALL of your mane is covered in dye.
  2. Leave the hair dye on for the recommended amount of time on the box.
  3. Rinse off the dye with shampoo AND conditioner- remember, dying hair causes a lot of stress and damage to your hair, so conditioning regularly is an absolute must.

Fixing Your Yellow or Orange Hair With a Toner

Toner is undoubtedly one of the best ways to fix your hair quickly and easily. Toners are used to help neutralize locks and give them the color you desire. You can even combine toners with a box dye to really achieve some amazing results. Even blonde hair that turned out correctly will require a toner, so if you find yourself with more ‘yellow’ hues in your hair, you will want to go for a purple toning shampoo or a purple based toner.

However, you have probably come here to find more about how to get rid of those brassy orange nightmares; and that being said, you’re definitely want to find a toner or toning shampoo that has blue undertones inside. Using a blue shampoo will help to neutralize your orange locks over a few short weeks, but if you want to have sooner results, try this:

  1. In a bowl, mix your selected toner with peroxide. You will need to do this following a 1:2 ratio.
  2. Using the applicator brush. apply the mixture all over your hair. Make sure ALL of the orange pieces are covered. You may want to have a friend help you to ensure all bits and pieces of your mane is completely drenched in the mixture.
  3. Leave this mixture on for up to 45 minutes, but do not exceed 45 minutes.
  4. Rinse off the mixture using a blue toning shampoo to lock in the mixture even further and help your hair tone down faster.

Fixing Orange Hair to a Lovely Light Brown Shade

If you’re utterly stressed out and don’t even want to THINK about achieving blonde hair anymore, light brown is definitely the way to go! It will still be flirty and bright, with every strand glistening in the sunlight; it’s also a super easy fix for orange locks.

  1. The first thing you need to do is buy an ash blonde hair dye.
  2. Apply it all over your hair- remember, it’s easiest to do this when you section off your locks into smaller pieces or have a friend help you out.
  3. Let the hair dye sit on your hair for the recommended amount of time.
  4. Rinse off the hair dye with shampoo AND conditioner- your hair has been through a lot, so do not miss the conditioner.

Doing this will leave you with a gorgeous light brown shade that looks as if it never was orange to begin with. You’ll also have a new base color, so if you ever want to try on blonde again, you may have an easier time with less damage.

Fixing Orange Hair to Beautiful BLONDE!

Blonde was the main goal after all, right? And you’re already SO close already, so why not take it all the way? Going from orange to blonde is incredibly simple- however, you will have to wait two full weeks before trying to lighten it up so your hair has some time to neutralize. If you don’t you probably won’t be able to get the exact color that you want. When those two weeks are up, however, all you need to do is re-bleach your hair with the desired hair color.

Once you’ve bleached your hair and the color came out correctly, you can then leave your hair color the way that it is or use toner, toning shampoo, or another box dye to reach the desired shade. (For instance- if you want an ashier blonde, you will need to apply an ash blonde hair dye a few days AFTER bleaching your mane).

Fixing Your Hair Naturally with Apple Cider Vinegar

Did you know that apple cider vinegar (ACV) can actually help tone your hair and get rid of those awful orange pieces? Yup. All you need to do is the following:

  1. Mix together 2 tablespoons of ACV, a few drops of blue food coloring, and 1 cup of water.
  2. At night, condition your hair using coconut oil, olive oil, or another heavy-duty all natural conditioner.
  3. In the morning, wash your hair as normal and condition.
  4. Rinse your locks with the ACV mixture.
  5. Repeat this process once a week and see toned down results.

See? You’re not left with unsightly orange locks forever. You can fix orange hair in just a few simple steps and get back to LOVING your mane!

Forget about purchasing expensive face masks in the store; if you’ve got an egg in your refrigerator, you’re prepared to create an amazing DIY face mask right from the comfort of your home- and for the heck of a lot less CASH!

Eggs are undeniably one of the BEST ingredients you could ever use on your skin, especially the face. Eggs are loaded top to bottom with essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that your skin is probably craving. It’s the go-to ingredient when trying to achieve youthful, toned skin that is acne and wrinkle free- who doesn’t want that!?

Nutrients Found in Egg Whites

Like we said before, egg whites are extremely loaded up with nutrients your skin will LOVE. But what are some of those nutrients that we need for the most beautiful skin of our lives?

Protein- yeah, protein isn’t just used to create toned bellies and strong muscles. Protein can also be used on the skin, promoting tissue repair as well as growth. This means that protein fights off wrinkles so you’re left with strong, beautiful, and downright youthful looking skin.

Magnesium- Magnesium is known to reverse the signs of aging and completely slow down the aging process. What does that mean? Radiant skin that’s is refreshed and youthful!

Potassium- Helps to increase moisture inside of the skin so your face is left extremely hydrated.

Riboflavin- Riboflavin works to completely destroy any toxic free radicals that are one of the leading causes of wrinkles.

But don’t just think egg whites work wonders on preventing aging and getting rid of wrinkles. Egg whites are also perfect for those struggling with acne! Egg whites tighten up the pores on your face, leaving NO room for harmful bacteria to enter and grow into full blown acne. The last handy ingredient in egg white is this:

Lysozyme- an enzyme that actually works to kill off any bacteria that can create acne.

How cool is an egg white?

But enough about why egg white masks are so perfect and essential to a gorgeous, young face- let’s talk about the face masks you can make RIGHT NOW!

Easiest Ever DIY Egg White Face Mask

This egg white face mask is NO joke, and it literally only requires 1 ingredient- seriously, just one. And if you haven’t already figured it out, the only ingredient you will be using is egg whites.

For this incredibly quick and easy face mask, all you need to do is:

1. Grab up 3 eggs and separate the egg whites from the yolk.

2. Whisk it very well, as the more you whisk it, the thinner and more easier to apply it will become.

3. Apply a thin layer of the egg white mixture to your face, being careful around the eyes and lips as these areas are more sensitive than others.
