1 – Ty Simpkins

You may recognize 17-year-old Ty Simpkins from a number of films over recent years, but our favourites include Jurassic World in 2015 and Iron Man 3 in 2013. He’s also starred in the 2011 and 2013 movies Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2.

If you wanted to see more of this New York-born star, you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled for a new Avengers movie coming out in 2019, the title of which has not yet been released. It’ll see Ty coming together with Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Hemsworth in a kickass attempt to once again save the world from some scary-lookin’ ending! 

2 – Joshua Rush

Believe it or not, Joshua Rush was only a few months old when he was pushed into the starlight, first appearing on a TV special for a local station at just ten months of age. He also appeared in a number of catalogues throughout his childhood years, and was the ‘star’ of a number of advertisements, too. There have been a few movies over the years — more than a few when you bear in mind that this chap is only 16 years old. You may recall seeing him in 2014’s Break Point, or Mr. Peabody & Sherman from the same year.

It’s in TV that you’ll see Joshua Rush right now, appearing in the Disney Channel family drama-comedy Andi Mack, and he’s also the voice of Bunga in Disney’s The Lion Guard, which is an animated TV show based around the 1994 hit Disney movie The Lion King. 

Repeat after us: It’s the ciiiiiiiiiircle of liiiiiiiiife.

3 – Max Charles

Another name that you may recognise from the 2014 hit movie for kids, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Max Charles is a 15-year-old actor, born in Ohio. Considering he’s barely even in his teenage years, Max Charles has had a very busy career so far, with a number of amazing movies under his belt. In 2016, you’d have heard him play the voice of Bobby in The Angry Birds Movie, and there was the 2014 movie American Sniper, too. Add to the list The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in which Max plays a young Peter Parker, and 2012’s The Three Stooges … With an impressive career in TV going on too, it’s amazing this young Hollywood star has time to do anything!

4 – David Mazouz

It’s quite the honour to play a young Bruce Wayne from Batman, but it’s an honour that David Mazouz clearly enjoys, having played the part in Fox’s hit show, Gotham, since 2014. Some of you may also remember that David played the part of Jacob Bohm (or Jake) in Touch from 2012 to 2013, another drama-filled TV series shown by Fox. Add a few movies into the mix and you’ve got yourself quite the budding career for a kid that’s just 17 years of age. You may remember that he was in both The Darkness and Incarnate, both out in 2016.

5 – Brooklyn Beckham

When you’re the kid of David and Victoria Beckham, you know you’re gonna be a hot kid, and Brooklyn Beckham is definitely hot in more ways than one! The 19-year-old has been in the media a lot lately, not just for his awesome photography skills and photography book, but also for some of his Instagram posts. In fact, he made his personal account private as a result of the drama. We’re keeping our fingers crossed it opens back up again soon!

6 – Emjay Anthony

15 year old, Florida-born Emjay Anthony has already appeared in some pretty big movies despite his young age, including The Divergent Series: Insurgent in 2015, Incarnate from the same year, Bad Moms and The Jungle Book in 2016, A Bad Moms Christmas in 2017, and even one movie this year (2018) too — Replicas.

7 – Gage Munroe

19-year-old Gage Munroe was originally born in Toronto, Canada, and has appeared in some pretty big-deal TV shows over the years, as well as a bunch of movies, too. In fact, just this year he appeared in a Netflix movie — Seven in Heaven.

You’ll probably know Gage Munroe more from his many TV shows. He’s currently starring in Hotel Transylvania: The Series, offering his voice for the animated character, Hark N Stein. Before that, he appeared in The Expanse, Paw Patrol, Justin Time, Mr Moon, and many more. 

8 – Finn Wolfhard

We’re predicting very big things for 15-year-old Finn Wolfhard, a chap that you may recognise from the AMAZING Netflix series, Stranger Things. He also popped up in the 2017 version of It. That’s not all, though; he’s also the lead singer of a band called Calpurnia, who class themselves as a rock band.

9 – Jack Dylan Grazer

15-year-old Jack Dylan Grazer was born in California, and he was thrust into the limelight after his role in the 2017 movie adaption of Stephen King’s hit novel, It. That’s not the first movie he’s starred in, but the first couple have been relatively unknown. It looks as though things are going to be just getting better for this young dude, with two movies set for release in 2019 that a lot of people are waiting for. As well as the second part of It, there’s also Shazam!, and this will see Jack Dylan Grazer playing Freddie Freeman in the DC Comics superhero movie.

10 – Noah Jupe 

We’re crossing over the water for this next young actor, 13-year-old Noah Jupe from London, England. If you thought his face was familiar, it might be from one of many films — The Man with the Iron Heart, That Good Night, Suburbicon, and Wonder in 2017; and The Titan, A Quiet Place, and Holmes and Watson in 2018.

This young lad shows no signs of slowing down in 2019, with two further movies set for release. The first of these is called Honey Boy and will see Noah popping up alongside Shia LaBeouf. The second is called Ford v. Ferrari and also stars Christian Bale, Matt Damon, and Jon Bernthal in the drama-biological-action movie about the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans.

1 – Tom Hardy

He’s the man that can take on any role and play the part fabulously, not just the evil Venom, but also both of the Kray Twins in the 2015 hit, Legend. We almost couldn’t believe that the British actor was 41 years old (at the time of writing), but Hammersmith in London-born Hardy celebrates his birthday on September 15th, (1977).

Not content with playing one crime lord in his lifetime, 2019 will see Hollywood hunk, Tom playing the part of Al Capone in Fonzo. With Matt Dillon also starring in the biological crime movie, it’s one that we personally can’t wait to see! 

2 – Prince Harry 

Once the world’s most eligible bachelor, now Prince Harry is a new husband, and soon-to-be a new father, too, along with his new bride, Hollywood actress Meghan Markle. The entire world has gone bonkers for the new couple, and the women of the land seem to have taken it rather well that the last single Prince has now been taken off the market. With the new Royal baby due at some point in the spring of 2019, it just didn’t seem right to have a list of top 20 hottest guys of 2018-2019 without having a little mention for one half of the couple that’s currently on everybody’s lips!

3 – Jared Leto

Another man on this list that doesn’t seem to age AT ALL, Jared Leto is 46 years old and a successful director, songwriter, singer and actor, most famous perhaps for his part in Suicide Squad as the Joker in 2016. In case you were wondering, Jared first made his acting debut (in movies) in 1995, in a movie called How to Make an American Quilt.

He’s turned into somewhat of a digital marketing mogul now, alongside being the lead singer with band Thirty Seconds to Mars, founding a company called The Hive which focuses on digital and social media marketing. He then went on to try and conquer the video streaming world, launching VyRT, and started funding Reddit. 

4 – Idris Elba

Did you know that 46-year-old Idris Elba isn’t just an actor, although that’s what many of us will know him best for. This handsome chap (and one that consistently has *those* James Bond 007 rumours going around about him) is also a producer and a musician — a DJ! He actually worked with Jay-Z on the 2007 album American Gangster, performing on the intro and co-producing some of the album.

If it’s movies that you’re in the market for, 2019 is going to be a good year for both you and Elba. There are two movies set for release — Cats, and Hobbs and Shaw. It is the latter that we are very excited for — a spin-off of the brilliant The Fast and the Furious movie series. You will see Idris Elba joining the likes of Jason Statham and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is the action movie that we should see released at some point in the late summer. 

5 – Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper … He’s been on a few of the hottest man lists, over a few years now. It’s hardly any wonder. A great actor and an all-around handsome chap … What’s not to like? 43-year old Cooper is famous for a string of movies, covering a few different genres. So successful have most of his movies been, he was actually labelled as one of the highest-paid actors across the globe for three years in a row, and he’s also appeared on a number of Time and Forbes Top lists in terms of earnings and influence.

If you haven’t seen the promotional stuff for A star is Born alongside Lady Gaga, you must have been living under a rock, but that’s not the only thing coming from this chap over the next twelve months or so. There is an Avengers movies coming out that will see Bradley returning as Rocket, plus a World War II-based movie alongside Clint Eastwood. What’s your favourite Bradley Cooper film? 

6 – Lewis Hamilton 

We’re moving to the sporting world for a moment. Motorsport, to be exact — Lewis Hamilton. It seems only right to include the British racing driver on this list as he’s just won his FIFTH world title in Formula One. Some might say that he’s one of the best racing drivers of his generation, moving from strength to strength after winning his very first World Championship title back, with team McLaren.

Is he single? Nobody really knows. He has been linked to a string of high-profile women, with a long-term relationship to the leader of the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger. There have been numerous reports that he was dating singer/rapper Nicki Monaco for a spell, but there doesn’t appear to be much in the way of confirming or denying from either party. 

7 – Chris Pratt

Everyone’s favourite dinosaur guy, Chris Pratt isn’t just the man who can control a bunch of angry velociraptors, 39-year-old Pratt is also Star-Lord/Peter Quill in the Avengers movies, of which another is due for release in 2019. And the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, too, obviously. It’s not just saving the world that this actor will be doing over the coming years, though. With The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part AND The Kid (a western biographical drama also starring Ethan Hawke) coming out, 2019 is going to be a great year for this American actor.

8 – Machine Gun Kelly 

Richard Colson Baker, better known as Machine Gun Kelly, is a 28-year-old actor, singer and rapper who took 2018 — and the internet — by storm when he came up against Eminem in a battle of the rappers. Eminem released a song called “Not Alike” following an alleged comment by MGK about his daughter, and the younger rapped came back with a rebuttal that literally took over the rap scene for a while — “Rap Devil”. The back n’ forth was great for fans, some of whom predicted it was just a big marketing storm, but it certainly didn’t hinder Machine Gun Kelly’s music career.

9 – Ryan Gosling

A Canadian actor that sets heart fluttering all across the globe, 37-year-old Ryan Gosling is, unfortunately, not on the market. He started dating Eva Mendez back in 2011, and they’ve since had two baby girls. That hasn’t stopped him taking the film world by storm, of course, with movies that include La La Land; Crazy, Stupid, Love; and let’s not forget the absolutely brilliant The Notebook. Isn’t that when we all fell in love with Ryan Gosling? (Swoooon.)

This man simply doesn’t age. That’s what we’ve discovered about Will Smith, who is FIFTY years old. Fifty. We’ll just give you a moment and let that sink in. He clearly has access to some sort of magic potion that stops him from ageing. Whatever it is, we’d quite like it too. 

Not just an actor, but a songwriter and rapper, comedian, and producer, too, Will Smith is well known for his works of art over the years, and for appearing on a NUMBER of hottest-men-lists, for a NUMBER of years. That’s alongside winning himself no fewer than four Grammy Awards and getting nominated for a couple of Academy Awards and five Golden Globe Awards. He was even classed as *the* “most powerful actor in Hollywood” by Newsweek back in 2007, and it’s a title that not many would disagree with.

What’s coming up in 2019 and beyond for this Hollywood hunk? We’re super excited for the real-life adaption of Aladdin, which will see Will Smith donning his best blue suit to pay the Genie. There are two more movies, too — Gemini Man and Spies in Disguise, both of which are due out in the same year — 2019. 

11 – Channing Tatum 

We can’t really have a list like this without having a special mention for Mr Magic Mike himself — Channing Tatum. The 38-year-old American actor made his movie debut in Coach Carter, which came out in 2005 but it wasn’t until the following year that he was projected into the limelight in a big way, with the hit film Step Up. A number of awesome hits have come since then, including Dear John, 21 Jump Street, and White House Down (among so many others), but it is Magic Mike that many of us will remember him best and most for … especially *that* dancing scene to Genuwine’s Pony.

We’ll see Channing Tatum taking on the role of Superman/Clark Kent in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, due out in 2019, and there’s probably going to be more than a few re-runs of P!nk’s “Beautiful Trauma” video from 2017, which sees Tatum don his dancing shoes again. 

12 – Ryan Reynolds 

This Hollywood actor has been on so many lists just like this one, it seems odd to find one that doesn’t contain his name, but it’s not just Ryan Reynolds’ good looks that keep people swooning for him all across the globe … He seems to have a phenomenal sense of humour, and that humour is displayed in regular social media posts in which he faux-trolls his equally brilliant wife, Blake Lively.

The 42-year-old Canadian- American actor is set to have a good year in 2019, with a couple of movies due for release. Six Underground promises to be a good watch, an action film that also stars Dave Franco. Pokemon: Detective Pikachu is probably one that not everyone will love, seeing Ryan playing the role of Detective Pikachu as part of the Pokemon craze. 

13 – Zac Efron 

It seems like the Zac Efron era will go on forever, but it’s not just Zac’s great looks that win over the hearts of many. It’s also his amazing ability to pick up any role and play it with ease. 2019 might see him playing one of his most gruelling and gritty roles yet, though … Ted Bundy, a serial killer who reportedly ended the life of 30 (confessed) women, and potentially many more than that. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is the movie you’ll need to keep your eyes open for if you’re interested. If you fancied something a little more light-hearted, you could also check out The Beach Bum. A comedy movie that also stars Isla Fisher and Matthew McConaughey, we are also expecting to see Snoop Dogg and Jonah Hill pop up from time to time, too.

14 – Rami Malek 

If you’re a fan of the rock group, Queen, you’ll be joining us in the queue for Bohemian Rhapsody — one of the most anticipated movies of 2019. Playing a very convincing Freddie Mercury (in our opinion) is Rami Malek, and that’s not the last of this fine chap that you’ll be seeing over 2019 and beyond.

You’d never believe that Rami is 37 years old, but he is, born May 12th, 1981, and as well as hearing him offer his voice for the part of Flip McVicker in BoJack Horseman, you can also get (early) excited for a movie due for release in 2020, that looks absolutely awesome already. The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle will see Rami playing the part of Chee-Chee the gorilla, alongside Ralph Fiennes as a tiger, Tom Holland as a dog, and Selena Gomez as a giraffe called Betsy. The adventure-comedy-action movie will also see Robert Downey Jr. playing the leading role of Doctor Dolittle, and Michael Sheen and Antonio Banderas are also on the cast list. It looks like it might be a really good watch! 

15 – Lucky Blue Smith 

This guy’s a model, in case you didn’t already know that, and has been signed to an agency since before he was a teenager. 12 years of age to be exact. He’s also an actor and a musician when he’s not taking the Instagram world by storm, and you may also recall seeing him in advertising campaigns for huge designer names. These include H&M, Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger, and many more. Also appearing in various fashion magazines, including Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, and GQ, Lucky Blue Smith is someone that you’ll definitely want to check out Instagram.

16 – Harry Styles 

He’s another familiar face on hottest men lists, but, once again, it’s not just looks that projects this guy to the forefront of everyone’s minds. Not just content with taking the world over as one-fifth of the original One Direction (and now just one-fourth after the departure of Zayn Malik), Harry is also very heavily involved with a number of charitable organisations. Not only is he a keen advocate for strict gun control laws in the United States, but he also campaigns for gender equality and supports the LGBT community. Not only that, he has worked with other organisations to provide water wells for needy communities in India, donated his hair for a charity to make wigs for children suffering from the effects of cancer and the treatment of it, and also supports various other causes.

It seems as though Justin Bieber has been relatively quiet lately, but then again, we have recently seen him get engaged to Hailey Baldwin. Perhaps he’s just basking in the newly-engaged glory? He sure has had his fair share of ups and downs — ups in terms of his incredible music career, but downs in terms of run-ins with the law, but perhaps this young starlet has all grown up and has decided to turn things around? One thing is for sure, we definitely appreciate his music. Hands up if you can’t wait for the next JB tune to drop!

18 – Tom Holland 

22-year-old London-born actor, Tom Holland, is better known for his part in movies such as Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Avengers: Infinity War, but it would appear that the superhero role isn’t the only one that this fine young chap can play. He’s joining Rami Malek in the 2020 movie The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, and there’s also Spies in Disguise coming out in 2019. The latter is an animated movie in which Tom offers his voice as the part of Walter Beckett. There’s also another Spider-Man movie coming out next year, and another Avengers movie. We’re not excited about those at all …

19 – Michael Ealy

45-year-old American actor Michael Ealy is known for some pretty big movies across the twenty-plus years in which he’s been an actor. Recently, you’ll have spotted him in The Intruder with Dennis Quaid, but he hadn’t been that active on the movie filming circuit for a while. His last movie before that point was in 2015. 

That doesn’t mean he’s been entirely quiet, of course. It would appear that he’s since branched out into the TV world a little more, with three main character roles under his belt in that time. 2019 looks like it might be a good year for him, too. Jacob’s Ladder is one movie that you’ll need to keep your eyes open for, a psychological horror movie that will also star Jesse Williams, that looks like it might be a real spooker!

20 – Nick Jonas 

Some might argue that Nick Jonas should be number one on this list, but we’ve done it in no particular order, so we hope you don’t take offence to our positioning. This 26-year-old is so much more than just an actor. He’s also a record producer, and a singer-songwriter, and many of us will remember his days as one half of the Jonas Brothers. He’s been branching out into films a lot recently, and there are not one, not two, but three movies coming out in 2019 starring him. 

Keep your eyes peeled for Chaos Walking, a sci-fi movie that’s also starring Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley, and Kurt Sutter; UglyDolls, along with Kelly Clarkson; and Midway, a historical action drama film that brings Nick together with Mandy Moore, Patrick Wilson, and Woody Harrelson.

Some are popular on social media, whereas others have become famous for their catchy songs and insightful lyrics. 1. Arashi 

Arashi is known to be one of Japan’s most famous and appreciated boy bands. The group is made up of 5 key members: Satoshi Ohno, Masaki Aiba, Sho Sakurai, Jun Matsumoto, and Kazunari Ninomiya. The reason why they’re grown to be so popular is that they’ve been around since 1999. Arashi was formed in Hawaii and in the beginning of their career, they had a contract signed with Pony Canyon. Six singles and one debut album helped the boy band rose to stardom. A second contract with J Storm in 2001 turned Arashi into the Japanese boy band of the decade. Two of their singles – “Believe” and “One Love” (2008) maintained a top position on the Oricon Singles Chart for 2 consecutive years.

2. Hey! Say! JUMP

Launched in 2007, Hey! Say! JUMP is a diverse, interesting, and talented boy band with 9 amazing members: Ryosuke Yamada, Yuri Chinen, Yuto Nakajima, Daiki Arioka, Keito Okamoto, Yuya Takaki, Kei Inoo, Kota Yabu and Hikaru Yaotome. The boys came together to form a band back in 2007. Their first single, “Hey!Stay!” opened the famous anime series Lovely Complex, boosting the band’s recognition and persuading over 120,000 fans to but the album in the first 2 weeks from release. In 2012, Hey! Say! JUMP had their first Asian tour, with concerts in countries like Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea. S3ART, the band’s 3rd album smashed the charts, reaching No. 1 the same week it was released.

3. SMAP

SMAP is one of Japan’s oldest and most solid boy bands. The group was formed in 1991, and since then they’ve released over 50 singles and 20 music albums. Five talented members make up the band: Takuya Kimura, Masahiro Nakai, Shingo Katori, Goro Inagaki, and Tsuyoshi Kusanagi. The name of the group is actually an acronym, and it means “Sports Music Assemble People”. Over the years, SMAP topped the Japanese music charts with their insightful, catchy songs. Some of the group’s members have gotten involved in a wide variety of movie, TV shows, commercials, and dramas, thus preserving the long-time reputation of the band.

4. KAT-TUN 

KAT-UN debuted in 2006 with 6 core members. The group’s name comes from the family name of each member: Kamenashi (Kazuya), Akanishi (Jin), Taguchi (Junnosuke), Tanaka (Koki), Ueda (Tatsuya), and Nakamaru (Yuichi).When the band made its grand entrance in 2006, J-One Record, their record label, released a whole album, CD single, and music DVD. Over the years, several of KAT-UN songs topped the charts in both DVD and Oricon music categories. Although Akanishi left the band in 2010, the group preserved the name and continued to carry the legacy. To this day, KAT-UN is known as one of Japan’s most influential boy band groups of the 20s.

5. SUCHMOS 

Suchmos juggled with several different music genres since its inception in 2013. Their core style was rock with hip-hop and jazz influences. The name of the band is an homage brought to the king of jazz music, Jouis Amstrong. Suchmos used to be his nickname. Unlike traditional boy bands in Japan, Suchmos brought R&B flair to their music only to set themselves apart. Two of their albums brought blues, rock, and funk influences, thus completely changing the J-pop music scenario. At the beginning of 2017, they released a studio album titled “The Kids”, which instantly topped the Oricon chart landing on the 2nd position.

6. EXILE 

Exile is one of Japan’s oldest and most diverse boy bands. It debuted with 19 members in 2001, and although some of the members are retired, they did manage to make a huge impact on the music industry over the years. The group’s leader is Hero, and all of their albums and singles were launched under the label Rythm Zone. For the past 20 years, Exile sold more than 20 million records all over Japan, one of their most memorable being “The Next Door” which was also a theme song in Street Fighter IV, the Japanese edition.

7. Bullet Train 

Bullet Train was formed by Stardust Promotion in 2011. The Japanese boy band debuted with back vocalists and main dancers to make the whole group more dynamic, and give a band a fresh, cool vibe. Their identity and music genre focuses on electronic dance music, J-pop, and electro-pop. Over the years, they’ve managed to appeal to their fans with several mainstream appearances, including a music video for GreeeN group in “Color”. “Bloody Night” one of Bullet Train’s most successful singles appeared in the acclaimed Japanese drama “Vampire Heaven”. “RING” and “Dramatic Seven” are two of the band’s most appreciated albums.

Visual rock band SID debuted back in 2003 with bassist Aki and vocalist Mao. Later on, they were joined by Shinji (guitarist) and Yuuya (drummer). Soon after releasing their first CD demo, the group signed off their first contract with Danger Crue Records. In 2004, SID launched “Kaijou-Ban”, their first single as an official Japanese boy band. After traveling overseas to Anime Central in the US, they had managed to make quite an impact, boosting their fan base and compelling them to come up with a full album entitled “Renai”. Diverse in style and motivate to reach national recognition, SID grew rapidly in popularity among the younger generation, gaining notoriety and a hard-earned title of “a monster boy band of indie music” in Japan.

9. B’z

B’z is one of Japan’s oldest and most successful boy bands. Made of two members, composer and vocalist Koshi Inaba and guitarist Takahiro “Tak” Matsumoto, the band is well-known for their upbeat, lively and energetic pop ballads and hard-rock tracks. In Japan, B’z is best-selling music band with 46 consecutive singles hitting No. 1 music charts. 37-year-old Nazanin Boniadi was born in Tehran, Iran, right in the midst of the revolution, and it wasn’t long before her parents moved themselves, along with her, out of the country. They headed for Britain, and it was during her time there that she learned ballet, and of her love for it, and also learned how to play the violin. It wasn’t long before she moved to the United States, but originally hunted out a career in science, rather than in the limelight. Switching lanes didn’t come until 2006, but it was a great move. General Hospital, an Emmy-award winning TV show, cast her as Leyla Mir, and she actually became famous for this part. It was the first time in American daytime TV history that a Middle Eastern character was contracted. Impressive stuff, right? It gets more impressive, as she’s also since starred in Charlie Wilson’s War, Iron Man, and even The Next Three Days. That’s alongside her charity work and activism too. Being a spokesperson for Amnesty International USA (among many other things) must take up an awful lot of her time!

3 – Elnaz Shakerdoust

33-year-old Iranian actress, Elnaz Shakerdoust, is well known not just for her acting skills, but also with her modelling and designing too. She has a very impressive filmography behind her, earning her nominations not one, but two Iran Cinema Celebration Awards for the “Best Actress in a Supporting Role”.

It was while the Iranian beauty was still in elementary school that she first discovered a love for acting and the arts, and when she later attended Azad University, she received a degree in none other than theatre. She was instantly given the main role in one of Kioumars Pourahamd’s movies (the 2004 hit Ice Flower), and it was within a couple of years from that point that Elnaz found herself almost inundated with movie roles.

This 36-year-old beauty was born in Tehran, Iran, but her hometown is Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with Iranian-Canadian roots. Not just a model, but a beauty queen and actress too, Sahar actually won 2012’s Miss Universe Canada competition, and even found acting fame in the TV show Sanctuary, starring as Kali. The fantasy/sci-fi blend was shown for four seasons, the fifth one being planned and then never coming to fruition.

As well as appearing in the hit Iranian movie, Ambrosia, you may recall seeing this Iranian wonder in 2012 — she had a small role in that. She also popped up in Smallville, and Blue Mountain State too.

This beauty was born in Iran, Tehran, to be exact, but she’s actually Swedish-Iranian. Things get a tad more confusing here too because she’s actually a rather famous name in the world of Bollywood movies.

She’s very well known for her role in the 2012 movie, Agent Vinod, and some may recall spotting her in Grand Masti, the comedy for adults too. Not just an actress, of course, Maryam is also a talented dancer, having worked as both a choreographer and a dance teacher, and she even went as far as to establish a school to teach Bollywood dancing. Even more impressively, it was the first Bollywood dancing school in Sweden, which is something to be pretty in awe of.

7 – Aylar Lie

33-year-old Aylar Lie was born in Tehran, Iran, but she was just two years old when she arrived in Norway, and that’s where she stayed for most of her childhood, brought up by foster parents that were of both Norwegian and Iranian descent.

It was actually the adult kind of movie that Aylar was first known for but soon turned her hand to mainstream modelling, before going ahead to compete in the 2004 Miss Norway pageant. Sadly, because of her past movie career, she was disqualified from the competition.

In fact, her previous movie career seems to have halted life quite considerably for the star, even going as far as preventing her from being able to travel to her home country in order to see her father. She has gone on the record to admit it was a time that she deeply regrets.

Some of you may actually remember this beautiful Iranian star from her music video days. She appeared in a large number of videos for the group Basshunter, including “All I Ever Wanted” in 2008, “Now You’re Gone” in 2007, and “I Miss You”.

This woman has managed to bag some pretty impressive accolades over the years, born in Tehran, Iran, before becoming a beauty pageant winner in Europe. She actually won the 2005 Miss Europe competition, after winning Miss Germany just one year before that. It’s not entirely random, however, as her parents actually moved her from Iran to Germany when she was just a year or so old, explaining the connection between the two places.

Fluent in many languages, including English, French, Persian, and German, she’s got a degree in social sciences too and has also been a long-term model used in American Apparel campaigns. She’s been working with them since 2008.

She’s the gorgeous fiancee of singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer, Miguel, but this beautiful Iranian girlie is pretty famous in her own right, with over a million followers on Instagram. She’s a model, beautiful in her own right, with a mix of heritage. With Persian, Native American, Spanish and Mexican in there, you can understand where her exotic good looks have come from. She’s been with her music-mogul man for over a decade, originally meeting him whilst filming the video for his song “Getcha Hands Up” in 2005.

37-year-old Sarah Shahi was actually born in Texas, US, but her father is Iranian, and her mother is Spanish, with an Iranian father. Her real name is Aahoo Jahansouz Shahi, and she’s rather well known for being a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and even appeared on the calendar with the squad on the 2000 version. She took the job because she had hoped it would lead the way into acting, and it was clearly a decision that worked well in her favour.

It was in 2000 that her career seemed to really take off, with a number of TV and movie roles, and these have kept steady too. More recently you will have seen Sarah Shahi in Ray Donovan, Person of Interest, and she even had the lead role of Kate Reed in Barely Legal. Add to that Life, Teachers, in which she had the main character part, The L Word, Supernatural, and many more, and you have a very talented actress indeed. That’s before we even begin to talk about the movies, which include I Don’t Know How She Does It in 2011, Rush Hour 3 in 2007, and Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde in 2003. She’s currently filming Hangman, due for release soon. This crime thriller is also said to star Al Pacino, Karl Urban, and Brittany Snow, promising to be rather a good watch.
