Get Flawless Skin!
Come on ladies; we all wish that we could look like Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston when we wake up in the morning but in reality, we look more like Morticia Adams with last night’s makeup smudged across our faces and puffy eyes. Flawless skin is one of the most searched for terms on the internet with regards to female beauty, and the truth of it is it could be easier than you thought.
Let’s Start Deeper!
When you want flawless skin, you need to start deeper than just your skin. Good health shows from the inside-out, so if you don’t take care of yourself on the inside, the outside will show the effects. This means that you will need to start looking at things like your lifestyle and diet.
Drinking plenty of water can often help with flawless skin – ideally you should be drinking around eight glasses of water per day, but to be honest if you are drinking only one glass daily, any increase will benefit your skin for now. Why not aim to drink two glasses of water every day for the rest of your day and then next week you can look at three glasses; perhaps swapping your mid-afternoon latte for a glass of the ice cold stuff instead.
You are also going to want to make sure that your body is getting the right nutrient it needs and for that, a daily multivitamin can sometimes be the answer. This is especially the case if you lead a busy lifestyle and can’t always find the time to have a proper home cooked, healthy meal.
Cleansing!
Once you’ve looked at the inside, it’s time to focus on the outside – your skin. Cleansing is an important part of keeping your skin clean and flawless. After all, you can’t expect to have perfect skin and pores if it is still clogged up with yesterday’s makeup.
Taking your makeup off at night is very important to give your skin time to breath and rejuvenate. Try using a good quality makeup remover or wipes, followed up with a quick splash of toner on a cotton wool ball to make sure every last pinch of makeup has gone. After this, add a good night cream that has been designed for nighttime use and get plenty of sleep – lack of sleep can leave your skin looking sallow and yellow.
Exfoliation
Believe it or not, even the delicate skin on your face could do with exfoliating from time to time and as long as you use a specially formulated product for the face, you won’t be doing any damage. This helps to get rid of the damaged skin cells – the dry ones that are causing your makeup to look clogged up on your face. You can’t create a perfect base for your makeup with foundation if the blank canvas has lumps and crevices!
Makeup! (Fake it!)
If all else fails, you can fake flawless skin with makeup. Moisturizer comes first of course, and you will want to make sure that you use a good quality product on your face before you even begin to think about applying any extra products. Age-defying lotions are a good place to start, even if you are not suffering with age signs, and once you have done this, you will find that your primer and your foundation will sit on your face better.
Products
Good quality products will cost you a bit more but with makeup, you really do get what you pay for. Sometimes it is well worth splashing out an extra few dollars for a foundation that will not make your base look “caked on” and with concealer, the slightly more expensive light reflecting varieties are often the best way forward. After all, you want flawless skin, not plastered-with-makeup skin!
