There have been five Miss Universe winners from the beautiful country of Puerto Rico, which just goes to show that the place is home to some of the most beautiful women in the world. With over 270 miles of exquisite beaches to explore, it would appear that women are not the only stunning thing to come from the country, although that’s definitely what we’re going to focus on for today’s piece. 1 – La La Anthony

Some of you may know 38-year old La La Anthony as a TV personality. She is that, jumping from radio to MTV in her early twenties, although we can’t forget about her radio days. It was while she was still at school that she was given her very own radio show, alongside the actor and rapper, known for appearing in The Fast and the Furious (as Tej Parker), Ludacris. That radio show was called Future Flavas.

She became such a big hit on MTV that she was regularly called upon to interview some of the biggest stars in the business, including the likes of Will Smith, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and even Tom Cruise. (Although he wasn’t jumping on any couches at that point, it would seem … )

From there, her own production company soon came along, called Krossover Productions, and she even made the jump into movies too. In fact, there have been quite a few movies — You Got Served, Two Can Play That Game, and many more. Add a few TV appearances too, and you have yourself one very busy woman. She’s now an author too, and a New York Times best-selling one at that, and a very successful businesswoman. She also has her own cosmetics line called MOTIVES, and a clothing line too, called “5th & Mercer” (launched in 2013).

For the record, La La Anthony was born in America, but both of her parents are Puerto Rican. Anthony calls herself Afro-Puerto Rican.

2 – Lymari Nadal

39-year-old Lymari Nadal was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and she’s not just one of the top 10 most beautiful Puerto Rican women, but also a producer and director of movies, and an actress who stars in them too. In effect, she’s pretty talented all-around. (Some people get all the luck!)

One of her best-known roles is in the 2007 movie, American Gangster. You may recall that she played the part of Eva in it, Frank Lucas’s wife, played by Denzel Washington.

3 – Joyce Giraud

Born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, 42-year-old Joyce Giraud is known for many things, primarily being a producer of TV and film, a model, and an actress. Although she didn’t initially want to become a model, she soon found that it was a great way for her to start earning some money, doing it alongside her studies. Receiving two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, she was said to have been discovered while grabbing fast food at a drive-thru, and it wasn’t long before she found herself working in various campaigns.

There are few Puerto Rican supermodels, but Joyce Giraud is definitely described as one of them, and as well as being crowned Miss Puerto Rico not just once, but twice, she also finished as a second runner-up in Miss Universe of 1998, although there were various parts of her pageant journey that were met with controversy.

4 – Roselyn Sanchez

If you’ve ever seen the 2002 movie Boat Trip, you’ll know who 44-year-old Roselyn Sanchez is. In fact, she was the object of desire for many, but that’s not the only movie she’s known for. Act of Valor came in 2012. Rush Hour 3 before that, and The Game Plan too, and that’s before we talk about the many TV appearances. You can add to the list shows such as Devious Maids, Desperate Housewives, Rizzoli & Isles, Royal Pains, Without a Trace, and many, many more. Born in San Juan, Puerto Ricao, she’s definitely worthy of her place on this list of top 10 hottest Puerto Rican women.

5 – Charlotte Ayanna

Although she moved to Vermont in the USA at quite an early age, Charlotte Ayanna was actually born in Puerto Rico, in San Juan. Not just a Puerto Rican-American actress, she is also Miss Teen USA 1993, which proved to be her first taste with national exposure and relative fame. It also opened up a lot of doors for the young actress, leading her to work on Entourage and Weird Science.

Some of you may recall that Charlotte Ayanna was in one of Ricky Martin’s music videos — “She’s All I Ever Had”, and she even moved on to movie roles too. Trojan War was her first brush with movie stardom, back in 1997, but she’s certainly come a long way since then, with 1991’s The Rage: Carrie 2, 2001’s Training Day, Kate & Leopold in the same year, and The Insatiable in 2007.

6 – Rosario Dawson

Not just an actress, but a political activist, writer of comic books, singer, and producer, and that’s not all that Rosario Dawson has managed to fit into her life. The 38-year-old is famous for roles such as the 2008 hit Seven Pounds with Will Smith, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg as far as movies are concerned.

Rosario’s mother brings the Puerto Rican into the equation here, a woman that was both of Cuban and Puerto Rican descent herself, and it would seem that family values are something that is very important to Dawson. She is involved with a number of charities, including a wide range that supports women and their rights, especially as far as domestic violence is concerned.

7 – Raquel Castro

23-year-old Raquel Castro was actually born in Long Island, New York, but her father was Puerto Rican, her mother being American-Italian. An actress as well as a songwriter and singer, she’s worked with some pretty big names in the movie industry, including the 2004 hit, Jersey Girl, in which she plays the daughter of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s characters. Of course, some of you remember her from when appeared on The Voice, back in 2011. She was one of the contestants on Christina Aguilera’s team in Season 1 of the show.

These days, you’re more likely to see Raquel Castro hanging out on the set of Empire. She’s played the part of Marisol on the show since 2015.

8 – Jennifer Lopez

Good ol’ “Jenny from the Block” (yes, we’re still singing it!) might be just two years away from 50 right now, but she certainly doesn’t look it. In terms of the top 10 hottest Puerto Rican women, there was no way that we could NOT include this one. Her parents are both of Puerto Rican descent, although J-Lo was born in America.

Not just a singer, although it’s her catchy music that many of us know her for, she’s also a fashion designer, a dancer, and an actress, appearing in movies such as The Back-Up Plan in 2010, Monster-in-Law in 2005, and Maid in Manhattan in 2002.

9 – Aimee Garcia

You will more than likely have spotted this actress in a number of things over the years, but Aimee Garcia is known for working on Lucifer right now, on which she has the part of Ella Lopez. The American actress was actually born in Chicago, Illinois, but her father is Puerto Rican, and her mother is from Mexico.

She began her career in 1996, appearing in a few small movies, but it wasn’t long before she was starring in hits such as A Lot Like Love, which also starred Amanda Peet and Ashton Kutcher, RoboCop in 2014, with Michael Keaton and Samuel L. Jackson, and also What They Had recently, due to be released at the beginning of 2018, also starring Hilary Swank, Michael Shannon, and Robert Forster. We can’t forget about the TV roles too, and there certainly have been a few — she played Jamie Batista in Dexter for an impressive 34 episodes, and she was also seen on Trauma, George Lopez, and Vegas too.

10 – Adrienne Bailon

A TV personality, actress, recording artist, singer, songwriter, and dancer, it could be said that 34-year-old Adrienne Bailon is pretty successful. Born to an Ecuadorian father and a Puerto Rican mother has given Adrienne those exotically Latino looks, and that’s done very well for her career. She first emerged as one of the members of the group 3LW in 1999, and she also found fame in the Disney Channel show, The Cheetah Girls. They both kept her rather busy up until around 2008, and across the two of them, over 5.6 million albums were sold.

Moving into films and various TV shows has kept her in the limelight and, of course, we can’t forget about that little dating spell with Rob Kardashian. They were reportedly together for two years, splitting in 2009 because he apparently cheated on her. How could he?!
