Kristin Cavallari Diet and Workout
28 year old TV personality, actress, and fashion designer, Kristin Cavallari was born on January 5th, 1987 in Colorado, US. After having two kids, you would forgive this blonde beauty for gaining a few pounds but surprisingly enough, she seems to have sprung right back into shape, and now looks even better than she did pre-baby, even admitting to being a tad overweight while filming The Hills.
Although we can’t see anything wrong with the way she used to look, it certainly appears that switching up her diet and exercise plans have worked well for her, and she is now in the best shape of her life with a bikini-ready body that most ‘normal’ girls would literally die for.
Losing the baby weight is definitely not an easy process, and it isn’t one that comes easy to many women. However, Kristin Cavallari showed us how to do it in style, just by eating a good, healthy and balanced diet, and working out where she could… In between diaper changes and feeding, of course!
Kristin Cavallari Diet
Kristin was lucky enough to be brought into a loving home that regularly ate healthy, organic meals and this is something that has stuck with her throughout her adult life. Fresh fruit and vegetables that are organic give you only the very best nutrients and minerals, all of which are essential to keeping your body in great shape, and not just that, but the right diet can even help to smooth your skin, leave your hair long and glossy, and even make your nails grow stronger and faster too.
Toxic and highly acidic foods were off the menu for Kristin, and instead they were replaced by things like vegetable soups, steamed brown rice, and turkey sandwiches (with wholemeal bread, of course), and oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, hummus and nuts were on the menu.
Despite suffering from serous sugar cravings during her pregnancies, she seems to have managed to get things under control, and rather than reaching for high calorie foods such as sweets, chocolates, cakes and biscuits, she has opted to instead go for dried and fresh fruit which can give you the sugar hit you need, without piling on the pounds. Plus, all that fruit just helps you get your recommended five a day so technically, you’re killing two birds with one stone.
*No birds were harmed in the making of this post!
Refusing to calorie-count, Kristin Cavallari has instead decided to take a more realistic approach to dieting. No one has time to work out how many calories are in every food they put in their mouths, and this is even more so the case when you have two young children to take care of which, again, many of us do. She decided to forget all about banning foods and counting the calories, and instead played it sensible – eating food when she was hungry, but from a list of good foods rather than gorging out on the bad.
Although we wouldn’t recommend banning any foods from your diet, simply because it can cause you to fall off the bandwagon, so to speak, Kristin Cavallari apparently only allows herself two cheat days per year! We don’t think we’d manage to be quite that well-restrained…. Do you?
Kristin Cavallari Workout
She made great changes to her exercise style as well as her diet in order to get in what she calls the best shape of her life, and is yet another celebrity that has chosen yoga as a way to boost strength and fitness. This is ag great exercise to take part in when you are pregnant but of course, once the baby is out, the hard work just really begin. Accompanying yoga, Kristin decided to add a number of cardio and strength combined workouts in the gym, using more muscle groups at once, and intensifying the workout making the killer buff body even easier to achieve. Great multitasking, that’s for sure!
When her son was just three weeks old, she started to work out again, devoting around half an hour to an hour of her day, four or five times a week to the cause, and with squats, lunges, sit-ups and press-ups, it wasn’t long before that muscle definition was starting to appear.
After a while, she decided to add Pilates to her workout regime, and by building up the workouts in this way, not only was she playing it safe, ensuring she didn’t push herself too far, but she was also giving her body time to adjust – something that all new mothers must remember to do!
