Right, there’s no argument about this. Whether you love him or you hate him, Channing Tatum is hot. Really hot. Almost too hot for words. Those chiselled abs and those beautiful eyes… They make you want to swoon, don’t they? Plus that smile… That smile is simply too dreamy.

This 34 year old actor is well known for being one of the hottest men on the planet, and definitely one of the hottest men in Hollywood, and the Alabama-born actor, model, dancer, and film producer first shot to fame in the 2006 movie Step Up, which had girls (and boys) around the world dreaming about dancing with the ripped hunk. Since then he has just gone from strength to strength and is well known for starring in some of the most iconic films of our time. Not bad for a guy that once used to strip to make a living, right?

We decided that today should be Channing Tatum’s day, and we are going to honour him by creating the top 10 Channing Tatum movies for girls to watch!

1 – Magic Mike

This 2012 movie really did something to cinema around the world. It was possibly the first time in history that the girls wanted to see a movie about strippers (Magic Mike) and the boys wanted to watch a film about a teddy bear (Ted). It just didn’t make sense but it did awaken the libido of the female population around the world.

Said to be based loosely on his earlier days when he did used to strip in order to earn a living, the film saw Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer, and a whole bunch of REALLY HOT guys taking their clothes off but our favourite scene (of course) was that one with Mr. Tatum himself dancing to Pony by Genuwine… If you’ve not seen it, you really should!

2 – 21 Jump Street

Another 2012 movie, 21 Jump Street saw a slightly different side to Channing Tatum. Keeping his clothes on, he joins Jonah Hill as two cops that pretend to be a lot younger than they actually are in order to crack down on drugs in a high school. As you can imagine, things go wrong a lot which inevitably leads to a lot of laughs, and we giggled our way through the entire movie!

3 – White House Down

Seeing a more serious side to Mr. Tatum, he joins Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jamie Foxx in the action-packed drama that sees a cop saving his family against invaders whilst taking a tour of the White House. Funnily enough, he’s basically saving the president after being turned down for that exact job. It’s funny how life turns out…

4 – 22 Jump Street

OK we do appreciate we’ve already noted the first one in the list but honestly, the second one is just as funny as the first! (And it deserves its own special mention.) Just so you know, 23 Jump Street has been announced. Cue our excited squeals.

They’ve done school. Well, twice actually, and now it’s time to try their hands at high school. It was only released last year (2014) so we’ll forgive you if you’ve not seen this top 10 Channing Tatum film but you must watch it immediately. If not sooner!

5 – The Vow

Going back to what Channing Tatum does best and we come to The Vow, a love story that sees him starring alongside The Notebook beauty Rachel McAdams. She’s just woken up from a coma and doesn’t remember anything, including who her husband is. I can tell you this right now, if Channing Tatum turned around to me and said he was my husband, even if I couldn’t remember a thing I’d just go with it… Wouldn’t you?

Anyway, the story follows his “vow” to make her fall in love with him again and remember who he is. Does he manage it? You’ll just have to watch it and see!

6 – Dear John

He’s so good at a great love story and Dear John is another classic example of that. With Amanda Seyfried, there’s a military twist to his love story, bringing an old-school will they / won’t they love affair into the modern day life.

Released back in 2010, you’ll probably want to get the Kleenex handy. It always makes us cry!

7 – Step Up

Back in 2006 a movie came out about a guy called Tyler Gage who vandalised a school for performing arts and ends up getting a massive opportunity that is set to change the course of his life forever.

With steamy kisses and hot dance moves, you’ll see that stripper-background come back to life in his dancing, and those sweaty vests he wears… Well, he’s hot, that’s all we need to say.

(So hot, he met his wife on the set!)

8 – Fighting

He’s done a few romance movies so it was only going to be a matter of time before he brought his manly side out in a real kick-ass sport action hit that saw him teaming together with Terrence Howard. Set in NYC, a young criminal is invited into a street fighting gang (of sorts) and includes a lot of exactly what the name suggests – fighting.

Be prepared to see a lot of blood and a lot of Channing get beaten up, but it’s a movie that both the boys and girls will enjoy. Maybe think about this instead of Dear John for your next date night and I promise your guy will love you for it!

9 – The Dilemma

This 2011 movie sees Channing Tatum playing the part of Zip and he’s having an affair with Kevin James’ characters wife! Vince Vaughan then finds out about it and is stuck with the dilemma – does he tell his best friend or not.

We really liked this movie and a lot of it had us roaring with laughter. Plus Channing gets his top off on a couple of occasions and you can’t really argue with that!

10 – 10 Years

Another 2011 movie and 10 Years was a rom-com that we loved starring him and his wife, Jenna Dewan Tatum. It’s all about a high school reunion and the kids coming upon the realisation that they haven’t actually grown up that much over the years since they were at school.

It’s full of laughter and stuff you can really relate to and a definite must-watch if you’re looking for he top 10 Channing Tatum movies for girls to watch.
