Top 10 Ryan Gosling Movies
Canadian Ryan Gosling was born in Ontario on November 12th, 1980. Currently standing at 34 years old, he is one of Hollywood’s hottest hunks and has developed quite the fan base of adoring women all around the world. All you need to do is take a quick look on Pinterest and there will be some meme or another with this beauty’s face splashed across it.
Since starting out in the Mickey Mouse Club like so many other famous names (Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, etc.) he has gone on through TV and film to now become one of our generation’s hottest and most-loved actors with a number of Golden Globes and Academy award nominations behind him.
We decided to take a closer look at the hits that have made this guy the actor he is today. So here are the top 10 Ryan Gosling movies:
1 – The Notebook
Clearly this is going to be number one on the list – this was the movie that made girls all around the world fall hopelessly and beautifully in love with him. He was the ‘bit of rough’ that fell in love with the ‘uptown girl’ and as you can probably imagine, things don’t always go according to plan. They do, however, always get a happy ending of sorts…
With Rachel McAdams, the film is known as the number one romance movie and if you’ve not seen it, rent it tonight! Plus there’s that really raunchy, wet love-making scene. Yes, that’s right ladies – Ryan Gosling gets wet!
2 – Crazy, Stupid, Love
This 2011 hit not only starred Ryan Gosling but also funny man Steve Carrell, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone and more! It proved to be a great watch following a mid-life husband in the process of separating from his wife, making some unexpected new friends along the way such as Hollywood hunk Ryan Gosling. Although we must warn you, not everything is quite as it seems…
Oh and Cosmopolitan magazine actually suggested it for one of the naughtier scenes where Ryan Gosling is almost beautifully naked…
3 – Drive
With Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, Drive brought about a slightly different side to the normally loveable Ryan Gosling. Also starring Carey Mulligan, this crime drama sees Ryan playing a Hollywood stuntman that gets himself into all sorts of trouble. Also released in 2011, Ryan won an Irish Film & TV award for best international actor in the movie, and was nominated for a whole host more.
4 – The Ides of March
With a Golden Globe nomination, The Ides of March (released in 2011 again – great year for this hottie!) was another movie that saw Ryan verging into the direction of drama. Alongside George Clooney, he stars in the leading role of Stephen Meyers on a presidential campaign.
5 – The Place Behind the Pines
This 2012 film saw Ryan Gosling acting alongside Eva Mendes and Bradley Cooper in the motorcycle stunt rider changes career paths and becomes a robber instead. Things don’t go well, as you can probably imagine, and the explosive romances becomes entwined in the crime drama storyline.
A definite must-watch. Plus he’s tattooed and HOT! (And shirtless a lot!)
6 – Murder by Numbers
Richard Haywood wasn’t a great guy in this 2002 movie – the first of which we saw here at Herinterest. Two kids at high school try to pull of the ‘perfect’ murder and Sandra Bullock comes along and messes things up all. Damn those pesky cops!
It’s got everything you’d need – Ryan Gosling playing a twisted, popular high school kid, and a horrifying ending that nearly doesn’t bode well… But does Sandra Bullock become the next victim in their murderous game?
7 – Stay
This 2005 movie was one of Ryan’s earlier films but sees him starring alongside greats like Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts. The thriller / mystery mix is really quite exciting as a psychiatrist tries to stop his patient from killing himself… Maybe one you won’t want to watch alone?
8 – Half Nelson
In 2006, Half Nelson was released and created a slightly different side to Ryan Gosling. He’s a teacher with a drug habit and as you can imagine, this doesn’t go down well. This movie was nominated for a whole host of awards and even won a few including Best Actor at the Stockholm Film Festival and Seattle Film Festival plus Best Male Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards!
9 – Blue Valentine
This 2010 romantic drama brought back the side of Ryan Gosling that we love and back in 2010, he was head over hells in love with Michelle Williams who played his onscreen wife in the movie covering their life over a period of years. This hit was actually nominated for a Golden Globe and Ryan almost bagged Best Actor, and the on-screen romance between the two was simply beautiful (and quite funny at times) to watch!
10 – All Good Things
Did Mr. David Marks get away with murder? As always, the truth will always prevail and in this 2010 crime drama, Ryan Gosling stars alongside Kirsten Dunst. He’s the main heir to a real estate company and there are all sorts of dramas as they try to get to the bottom of his wife’s disappearances but the big question is… Did he do it?
So there you have them – our favourite top 10 Ryan Gosling movies for girls to watch. You’ve seen the meme’s on the internet, now it’s time to fid out why they exist… And why Ryan Gosling could just be the perfect boyfriend!
