He could have just been friendly or thought you needed a hug. I would not read too much into it yet. If you like him, try talking to him more often and flirting with him. There is this one friend of mine, and when I saw him in the halls at school I greeted him with a hug (as I greet most people) I reacher in for a quick hug (as to say “Hey! Havent seen you in a while) and he responded with a genuine, warm, sort of hug. I can’t tell if he likes me, or is just responding the way he thinks one should respond when I greet him. I have hugged him two times befor that, and they weren’t as, ya know, sweet. I’m very confused.

It is hard to keep feelings out of a friends with benefits relationship, so it is fairly normal for someone to start opening up and expressing themselves over time. At the same time, it seems like he does not want anything more than your current relationship. My FWB who I am crazy about it took us 8 years to finally do anything. He does number 5,6,and 7. They are the longest and most tight hug I’ve ever received from a man. I’ve never been hugged like this. Which is why I started looking up what hugs mean. We have agreed with FWB I know feel I’m falling. But he insist we are just having fun. But he is opening up to me. Telling me more about himself and I feel so sad I went home and cried. He is a beautiful person and was cheated on and child not his. I feel so hurt this happened to him. When I was expressing my pain one night he held me so long then I heard him sob on my shoulder. Ok with that said. What does it seem like he feels? But no matter what he has assured me nothing more. He is hurting and sad.
