I had a dream that my best friend got stabbed at my school several times with a very long machete until he was almost unrecognisable. I heard sirens and I saw people hurry to the crime scene but it took me a moment to figure out that my friend was the reason for such chaos. The imagery was so vivid and I saw his body through a video that one of his 3 killers recorded and sent round just after. In that dream the emotions of sadness and horror felt so real. I was crying and screaming whilst everyone else at school was mourning passively. In this dream everything about my school looked the same, the building and the crowds of faces. I am used to vivid dreams but I never get nightmares and this one was the most harrowing, horrifying one I have ever had.

Luckily this was just a dream – my best friend is alive and well, and our relationship is strong – but I am anxious as to what this dream means.

My mother started having memory loss and not being able to take care of herself so I would later on take care of her myself. I had a dream that I was hanging out with an old friend who I was very close to but haven’t seen for about a year. We were out having a good time then one guy who I don’t know and can not recognise chased us and slit her throat with a knife. He killed other people to. He was with a guy I couldn’t recognise but in the dream we were friends and I begged him to help me get away. I got away from him with his friends help who had to help me secretly without the killer noticing. The police were in the area laughing and having fun then I told them everything and they began searching for the killer on the run. I then woke up.

I recently broke up with my boyfriend and I think he was cheating on me… could this have something to do with that? I felt every single emotion in the dream like fear and grief.
